  New Work Train questions

Does anybody have one yet, or are they backordered until July '99? Is it "Train, Jr." (is the undercarriage only one piece)? How well does the platform stay horizontal when in the raised position? And, how come so many of the New For '99 sets/kits (...) (26 years ago, 23-Dec-98, to lugnet.trains)

  Hacking Lego Loco (especially postcards)

I've been playing with Lego Loco and have figured out how to change the text of postcards and the names of the characters (all in the art-res/postbag/Eng/easter subdirectory, btw). I'd like to be able to change the pictures on the postcards and (...) (26 years ago, 22-Dec-98, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Help...what piece or pieces?

I'm sorry. LEGO '98 bricks are not backwards compatible with your old outdated plates. We suggest you upgrade to DirectBrick7.0 technology and reinstall. Isn't it comforting to fall asleep at night knowing there are idiots ruining the company? The (...) (26 years ago, 22-Dec-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

  Help...what piece or pieces?

Hey all. I just bought 6453 Com-Link Cruiser. Something about it yells "THIS is what you wanted for that monorail design!" Okay, great. But I'm trying to build it up a bit in the front, and I can't find pieces that match the angle. I guess that's a (...) (26 years ago, 14-Dec-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

  Re: New train pictures

(...) It is very slow, but I definitely liked what I found. I'm trying to find some time to help Esben improve the site a bit. He'll hopefully have a faster page with larger images up in a few weeks (but have a look if you have the patience). Play (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New, bigger, and at least one wacko train

(...) Ben, I am seriously impressed with all three of your latest models. Each one expands the range of creativity for LEGO trains: The SP&S 700 4-8-4 Steam Engine is has beautiful lines. It is a behemouth of a steamer! The Wacko must be quite a (...) (26 years ago, 20-Dec-98, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New, bigger, and at least one wacko train

(...) I did, what I saw of it. I was having trouble getting the images to load completely. I screams out for real wheels and a modular rod/connecting rod/valve gear/steam chest arrangement though.   Re: New, bigger, and at least one wacko train

(...) I wanted to dedicate this one to Larry P. When building this train I tried very hard to keep things to scale. Thus the final length of 72 studs. Larry likes big trains, so he should like this one. (26 years ago, 18-Dec-98, to lugnet.trains)
