If you use technic rods you can obtain infinite resolution with firmness by using part 4265 to hold it in place. That will work with my solution using (...)   LEGO Store Display Install in Portland: Oh, The Drama
 
So here's the lowdown... The local LEGO train club (GPLR) was invited to participate in a pilot program to set up a display inside one of the cases at our local LEGO Brand store. What constructions can follow from (URL) this 6 LEGO Unit fence part>? I haven't fussed with ideas, yet, but I wonder if there are some new stud-offsets to be found with this 6LU thick fence. Kelly is GPLR's liason with the store manager and he might have more info on this. But it is my understanding that it is our space to do with what we want. Very good. The operation is just exactly like LIONEL switch points! The power for the switch point motor must be routed through the metal center rails - coming from the transformer.
