Very nice!

:) Thank you.

The display case measures 19”x 16”x 31”, hence the portrait style layout.

Are these the inner case dimensions? ie: the build area?

Basically, yes. There’s some small amount of play in there, but that’s the size I measured with the store manager.

Were there any parameters or limits (aside from the display size) that you had to adhere to? Or, was it totally up to you what you created and displayed? Were you limited to using certain colors, etc?

The word from the corporate office was to make sure it was professional, appealing, and reflected positively on the brand, the store, and the AFOL community. Nothing shoddy, in other words.

As for subject, we were pretty much wide open. We will likely be working directly with the store manager to select themes or ideas for the next display, but for the first one it’s pretty much as Steve described... the club came up with ideas and Steve and I implemented it (a majority of it was Steve’s doing, especially the entire bottom portion). I have a feeling it will be more of a group effort next time, since this time had a shorter lead time.

The only real big no-no was using competitor’s products ;) Since Big Ben Wheels don’t compete with any TLG product offering, that’s a safe one. Steve’s train looks good perched on the tracks, can’t wait to get it installed! I’ll post pictures once it’s in the display case.
