Modified Transformers Question (Re was: Transformer Power)

(...) John, We had the luxury of using your controllers at the NMRA show (Thanks a ton!), and I am interested in modifiying my own. I think I've got enough information to swap the internal components, but negelected to look at the wallwart (power (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: 6 wide autorack

(...) Hey Tom, I really like that. I am a _very_ big fan of autoracks, so I just might have to experiment with you technique. Now, if only we could get transparent plates to put behind those grille tiles. I just love the way you can see the cars and (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Train and Town @ BrickFest

Hi All, Well as we get to within 4 weeks of BrickFest the building frenzy begins. As usual we will have a train layout (with some room for train MOCs) and a separate area for Train and Town MOCs if we have an over flow (which is a good thing!). It (...)   Re: Help set a LEGO world record this weekend!

(...) Larry- We initially planned to embed the stars, but a number of reasons converged to make overlaying them the best choice: Since we put a wave in the surface, the union is not flat and embedded stars would have been more complex. We wanted to (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc, FTX)

Re: Help set a LEGO world record this weekend!

(...) That's really cool. I was sort of surprised to see the stars attached rather than embedded in the layers but I guess a lot of early flags (sewn) have stars sewn on... How is the flag going to be supported, it seems like it would put a lot of (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc, FTX)

Re: Help set a LEGO world record this weekend!

Here’s some Day 2 pictures of the world record US flag build attempt at the 2005 OC Fair. Stripe #7 is the first to have the blue union (sometimes called the canton) and stars. To precisely locate the star centers, we used a horizontal measuring (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc, FTX) !

Re: GFLTC NOT at GATS Clearwater this weekend

IndyLUG has had an excellent expierence with GATS over the years. We do their show twice a year, October & January.   Re: GFLTC NOT at GATS Clearwater this weekend

(...) It is just me, or is GATS hard to deal with? I've heard several cases where GATS was just a pain in the a**. I know NGLTC missed a Greenberg show to committ to at GATS show, only to have GATS back out of it. O, S, HO, N, TT, Z... let's see. (...) (19 years ago, 15-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org)

Nice model, I think you have captured the 'fatness' of the prototype well, especially considering it is six wide. (19 years ago, 15-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
