Re: GFLTC NOT at GATS Clearwater this weekend

(...) It has happened to us and another club that I don't remember the name of. Apparently there are train clubs that have told GATS that if a LEGO Club comes, they won't be there. I was hoping the publicily of the recent NMRA Display in Cincinatti (...) (19 years ago, 15-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: GFLTC NOT at GATS Clearwater this weekend

(...) GATS asked a LEGO Train club to NOT come to an event?! I guess they must be tired of being a popular show and drawing in crowds/money. David Gregory (19 years ago, 15-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org)

Help set a LEGO world record this weekend!

SCLTC and the 2005 Orange County Fair invite our friends in Southern California to help us turn 200,000 red, white, and blue bricks into the world's largest free standing United States Flag this weekend. Construction runs daily from 10:00 to 20:00 (...) (19 years ago, 14-Jul-05, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org.scltc, lugnet.org.us.lugola, FTX) !!

Re: TCLTC layout Pics from the NMRA show

(...) For the most part, simply 1x1 black plates. I used black plates to bind the walls for strength, and then "greeblied" them in order for the load to look random. The secret is to turn the 1x1s at various angles so that the eye doesn't pick up (...) (19 years ago, 14-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org, FTX)

  Re: 6 wide autorack

(...) Hi Thomas, Saw this the other day and was most impressed. It really looks like the real thing. You should make a little (as in scaled to six-wide train size) car to go with it. Thanks for posting the .mpd too. I may 'liberate' some design (...) (19 years ago, 14-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains)

  6 wide autorack

i was finally able to complete a working design for a autorack, pictures are here (URL) moderation) (URL) model is only single level due to size, however i am happy to say you can fit some cars in it, and maybe even a small truck to.   Re: Furka Oberalp Loco at NMRA

(...) I have to say I was quite exited when I saw it, I thought I was the only Lego trains person interested in Swiss metre gauge stuff! The loco looks good and I would have recognised it (maybe a little slower) even without the big FO on the side. (...) (19 years ago, 14-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Great Northern SD-45 "Hustle Muscle"

I built this loco right after the BNSF set came out, but never got around to taking pics of it. Better late than never... It took the equivalent of around 15 sets to get all of the necessary dark green tiles and 1x1 slopes to make this, and BL (...)   Still More NMRA Pics:-d

Paul Foster, founder of the GMLUG, made the trek to the show from Wisconsin and asked me to post a link to his pics, as he was having posting issues. They are nice & complete and can be found (URL) HERE> JOHN (19 years ago, 14-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Furka Oberalp Loco at NMRA

(...) didn't realize it was even there until today. The loco is indeed the well-known Furka Oberalp from the Swiss Glacier Express route. The cars are from another regional Swiss line, the Bruenig-Bahn (I think), that operates around the Brienzsee. (...) (19 years ago, 14-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains)

TCLTC layout Pics from the NMRA show

Re: ILTCO at National Train Show

I'll see about converting them to wmv, he deleted my folder with the movs in it. My idea of setting up an ftp server is dead, as I can't get Filezilla to even create a "listen socket", whatever that is. -Stefan- (...) (19 years ago, 13-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: ILTCO at National Train Show +Aerial views

(...) Hello all, Well I finally caught up on my sleep and resized my pictures to save space on the one and only Brickshelf.   Re: ILTCO at National Train Show

A big thanks, I'm sure on everyone's part, to the people who help made this possible! That was easily the most fun I've ever had at a show, and an experience I won't forget.
