My use of 16 BBB Large Wheels

Re: Train Show Layout Size Restrictions??

(...) Our (NALUG) last display was 45' x 25'. It took in excess of 14 hours x 10 people = 140 man hours to set up. And we were pretty close to killing each other by the end. I would suggest either a smaller, more detailed display or one that is (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Four 'European' (O.K., British) Short Wheelbase Wagons

(...) There's lots of different body designs, I can picture the type you have made in my head but can't remember the reasons for the details differences. I know they got rebuilt with a different rib design but which is which, nope its gone! (...) I (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Stuttgart Tram in 6-wide

(...) I think you have done this really well and I'm gald you showed some 'how it works' photos of the underside (...) I don't see that as being a problem, you just have the tram track seperate from the rest of the track on your layout, the same as (...)   Re: Train Show Layout Size Restrictions??

(...) Kevin- Generally speaking, bridges are one of the best things to put in an LTC show. Our experience is that they install very quickly, transport easily, can be put in last so that the rest of the layout is accessible for assembly, are easier (...)   Re: Stuttgart Tram in 6-wide

(...) How 'bout a grey minifig head stud reliefed into the space in front of the driver's controls? Or a grey piston head (Although I'm not sure about how you'd attach it.) These two came to mind after I asked myself what is smaller than a 2x2 round (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

Re: A new article by Didier Enjary...

(...) There doesn't appear to be a lugnet.org.iltco - but I was going through the article section of ILTCO.org.   Re: Train Show Layout Size Restrictions??

(...) That's a good question about asking for layout space. I know on some of the Greenberg and GATS applications it will ask for a max and min space requirements. I have found that if we put in a min space that is always what we end up getting, so (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.trains.org)

  Train Show Layout Size Restrictions??

I just finished reading this thread about giant bridges-- (URL) got me to thinking about the amount of floor space such projects take up at train shows. A LOT.   Four 'European' (O.K., British) Short Wheelbase Wagons

Submitted for inspiration, four designs of short wheelbase wagons. A mix of old and modern, but the sort of thing I'd like to see Lego produce as its next accurate railway model.
