Hi there This is my newest model... I got the idea for the locomotive from a train book, that I borrowed from the local library. For the model I used nearly all my green bricks.   Pictures and Show report COLTC at GATS Cincinnati
 
Last weekend COLTC participated at the Cincinnati GATS. We were given very little time to organize this, GATS called us just two weeks before the show, they wanted more layouts. Greetings, I was looking at using a reed switch to control some train stuff. Unfortunately I only have a codepilot rather than an RCX. The codepilot accepts touch sensors. Someone else commented that, from the thumbnail, it looks like the 'real thing' That's Jason Railton's Castle class loco underneath Tony Priestman's station canopy, and was photographed by the trainspotter on the platform :-) It's a fantastic venue (...) (...) We're all Herr Zugscheilmeren (is that the plural?). The decals leave "no sticky residue", or at least it's so minimal I can't see or feel it. The NGLTC presented a layout at the Greenberg Toy & Train show this past weekend. One of the new features encluded a RCX controlled draw bridge that lifted every 8 minutes and stopped the trains so no one fell into the river below. All the pictures (...) I have found at Wal-Mart an (URL) Window Decal material> for making custom stickers. Quantity six 8.5x11-inch sheets in one package, US$7.93, by Hammermill. If you look close at the picture, there appear to be two different shades of purple in the model. Is this because it's a prototype or close-to-finished final model of some kind? Or am I just seeing things? Also, the driver has a purple cap! Dave (...) (21 years ago, 20-Feb-04, to lugnet.trains)

COLTC will participate at coming weekends' GATS show. The show hours are 11 AM to 5 PM, both days, and will be held at the Cincinnati Convention Center, 6th and Elm streets. Issues with the image formatting in the Streamliner Dome Car instruction book have now been corrected. Also, Santa Fe has officially permitted me to reference to the Santa Fe and Super Chief names in the book, such that the book now features a (...)
