  Re: Starship Hatch

(...) Thanks I would have but I'm not subscribed to the group and there are very odd things happening with my groups that seem to stop my subscribing to any more groups. (...) It was a pleasure to share with such a passionate group (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Starship Hatch

(...) Spiffy. Crossposted to .trains because I agree, it might very well be quite useful for trains as well! Thanks for sharing. (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains)

  Re: DCC and the future

(...) Sorry, too far for me (about 7000 miles) but if anyone tells me where the questions are I will answer those I can. (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: DCC and the future

(...) Are are of you DCC Gurus going to Brickswest 2003? I would really LOVE to see a DCC Session at Brickswest 2003. -Ahui (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: DCC and the future

(...) What is the point of having a magnet on the track? But anyway, LEGO made magnet holders with a 2x2 plate base that would hold a standard LEGO magnet. They were used in the Ice Planet 2002 space sets, perhaps among others. --Bill. (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: DCC and the future

(...) Thanks for volunteering! But it would be better if more people volunteered as well, it's a bit of work. (...) off the top of my head (but see also (URL) the easiest (for you) way is to trundle through the forum and find all the relevant posts, (...)   Re: DCC and the future

(...) Well- sort of. The motor will go in a constant direction of rotation, regardless of orentation on the track. However, which way forward is can be defined in most decoders (I have some which are spoofed to forward=reverse direction) (...) Yes, (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: DCC and the future

(...) I guess we have enough information, I am certainly willing to contribute to the extent of my limited experience. How does one 'do an FAQ'? There are a couple of good sites showing how to modify the trin motor, I don't know if I have seen (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: DCC and the future

(...) Reversing loops are accommodated in DCC The DCC combined power and control signal is a form of alternating current so it is possible to reverse the connections to a section of track without changing the behaviour of the trains. In DCC systems (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains)

In lugnet.trains, John Hill writes: <buncha good stuff> Do we have enough info to do a FAQ? Does someone want to take a crack at it? Tom Cook's site has a lot of good DCC info too I think. (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: DCC and the future

How does DCC work with reversing loops ? Also thank you for being willing to anser these questions about DCC. I am mostly a lerker but I have found this very informative. ondrew niltc (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: DCC and the future

(...) Yes, thats right, no matter which way the loco is facing on the tracks 'forwards' is always forward. (...) Yes, the only Lego component to be modified is the train motor. (...) The decoder is a small electronic circuit that has to be mounted (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: I'm back ... maybe?

(...) Hi Leanne- With 38 days exhibiting in SD county (36 for SDMRRM and 2 for LEGOLAND) vs only 12 in San Bernardino, Riverside, and Orange County combined, it's a fair bet that we will be doing a lot more outside SD than in over the next many (...)   Re: Prolific Upcoming Weekend!

There definitely are advanatges to both systems. I do like the barriers because not only do they minimize the reaching, they also contain train crashes. At our mall display, we had an interesting crown control issue. That display was basically three (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains.org)
