  Tank Cars

I finally finished my first really good (IMO) train car moc's! They're based on 8000 gallon (I think) tank cars. They're a bit on the tall side, but by themselves or with other 8-wides, they look ok. Here's the folder: (URL) some Deep Links: (URL) (...) (22 years ago, 8-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.announce.moc) !!

  BricksWest™ 2003 : Call for Liason

Greetings, If you'll follow this link to lugnet.events.brickswest: (URL) find that I've made a public showing in the first stages of planning the 2003 event. I'm now requesting that a point-of-contact person for your organization be chosen or (...)   NGLTC at Atlanta TCA show

Today the NGLTC presented a small interactive setup at the Terminus Chapter Train Collectors Assoc. (TCA) meeting. Normally their meetings are not publized to the public, but they decided to invite the public this time and asked if the NGLTC could (...)   New Moc: Dark Red Building

I finally acquired enough dark red to put together a little building for the TCLTC layout (another "backdrop" building). I was really anxious to see the dark red in action, so to speak, and I think it was worth the wait! I *really* like this color (...)   Re: New Track radius question

Not a demand, just a suggestion, in case it came out that way. Sorry about the wrapping screw-up. -Stefan- (...) (22 years ago, 7-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego)

  cg47's train stuff

Here's some train things I've been working on: (URL) spine cars & trailers built from Jake McKee's instruction portal website (Thanks for a great service, Jake!).   Re: Stairs on train wheels - solutions ! was: question to James M.-Orient Express etc.

(...) snip to shorten post (...) Now, I have to go back and modify all my stairs! I haven't even started building again[1] and I already have a big project ahead of me. Thanks for the ideas (and directions). Your idea is a great idea, and it looks (...) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Definitions: LUG or LTC

(...) Yeah sorry I guess I wasn't spacific enough. We are a Limited Partnership which limits our liability to the value of NELUG's assets, which while substantial from the groups perspective they are minimal in terms of real value. <humor> Of course (...)   Re: New Track radius question

(...) I'd like to see them made like HO switches. In these, the switch only has a free-moving bar attached to the points, to which you can attach a motorized switch machine or a manual throw. -Stefan- (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: New Track radius question

(...) I have skirted the issue by using curve-straight-curve...aight-etc. for most of my turns, which comes out to be about a 72 stud radius. One note: I don't use points, except in a train yard (so basically for looks). And when you get right down (...) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Definitions: LUG or LTC

(...) Did you look into forming an LLC or an LLP? In a regular partnership I'd be worried that someone would slip on a brick or something at a NELUG event and try to sue the pants off of the partners. (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: New Track radius question

(...) I'm not trying to criticize, since I'm certainly no expert on such matters, I'm just saying. Neat stuff in any case. -Stefan- (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

  10022 and 10025

Hi all, I recieved the 10022s today and build them (3 of them) right when I was back home from work. I would like to congratulate Lego on asking James Mathis to design them and congratulate James for doing such a fine job. My complete train (2 Super (...)   Re: New Track radius question

  Re: Definitions: LUG or LTC

  Re: Continous operation

(...) Torsten Wernecke has done lots of 'testing' while he ran 9V trains night and day in a window display. An old and used 9V motor in a 4564 engine with several (quite light!) waggons behind, survived half a year of permanent driving at ca half (...) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Continous operation

What are your thoughts about the effects on motors or train controllers of continous or semi-continous operation? To clarify, if trains are run 10-12 hours each day for several months, would you expect damage to the motors or controller? (...) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)
