  Re: A few questions....

(...) As far as individuals go, I know I have a fair amount of my town based layout- but the best places to look are GMLTC (I believe it is currently down), The Royal Train (beautiful!), GFLTC, PNLTC or any of the other club sites. Although the (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: new train cars available (sort of)

This is obviously all just another hoax being sprung upon us by "Ben" Benecke. I don't know about the rest of you, but I am not falling for it. The URL was a nice touch -nice try, Ben. Fooled me once but never again. Never again! -BB Larry Pieniazek (...) (23 years ago, 30-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.trains)

(...) Check out the Japanese site I reference here: (URL) find spectacular train designs...and be on the look out for an actual "crocodile" engine! I also assume you saw David Weiler-Thiessen's first-place LEGO train contest entry here: (URL) (23 years ago, 1-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: A few questions....

(...) Search www.brickshelf.com for "train" or "layout". You should get quite a few hits. You can also check out some of the club home pages that are linked off of news.lugnet.com/trains. (...) One of my favorite "non-standard" designs is the drag (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: A few questions....

(...) I've seen lots of really-very far out there trains, some that don't even look like real trains. Its all up to you, and i think a Jungle train would be different. Josh (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

  A few questions....

I wouldn't consider myself a train-head(mainly because I don't have any train sets), but aftera rather informal gathering with some fellow Lugnetters recently, I find myself being 'sucked in' and becoming more interested in building a train layout. (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

The GFLTC at TRU in Tampa Florida

Fair warning, long posting.   Re: Train Layouts

(...) You think YOU have a large space problem? Someone in Europe has a 60 m^2 layout :) (~600 sq ft). I have ~300 or so, in 2 rooms (I have a 3rd room, but the tin mice (OO scale) stuff is going into there) For clearances, one needs at least 13 (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Wreck Crane Revisited

<snip> That looks cool, and yes, if modeled after a 200 tone crane, it should have 3 axle trucks (US anyways). There's also a smaller hook on the end of the boom. Josh (23 years ago, 1-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)
