  Re: Custom loco MOC

(...) Thanks for the credit, Jake, but I should like to pass these "half stud" applications and "changes in stud direction" compliments on to everybody out there who uses LEGO bricks. We all use them to one degree or an other. And all of us posting (...) (23 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Custom loco MOC

Jake, Hey, that looks great. A few comments... I think that there should only be one blower housing. You have two bulges just behind the cab, one on each side. I think that there should only be a bulge on one side (the "driver's" side if it was a (...) (23 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Release of LEGO Classics?

(...) I am not sure I agree. I paid through the nose for my metroliners but that doesn't mean that I hope they never reissue 4558. I won't begrudge the prices I paid for what I have, I got my moneys worth. ++Lar (23 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Custom loco MOC

I'd like to note one thing first, I LOVE the buldged out windows on the side, but any real locomotive would only have it on one side, the engineer's side (passenger side if it were a car...). The bulged window is usually left white also... But (...) (23 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Custom loco MOC

Jake, I like it. Nice use of the 1x2 windows on the front, it's hard to get the front windows right with only six studs, but those little windows seem to do a nice job of it. I like the gray color scheme also. jt -- James J. Trobaugh North Georgia (...) (23 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Custom loco MOC

All, After many hours and several versions, I have just posted the final prototype (read: still in the works) of a locomotive MOC on brickshelf: (URL) is still in design phase (thus the flat gray color scheme, and wrong color windows), so go easy on (...)   Re: Skirts for Tables at GATS

In lugnet.org.us.nclug, Sheree Rosenkrantz writes: <snip> (...) Well in terms of the skirts the only other thing I would say is to put them on as the last step in setup. They are a bit of a pain to fight through. Also plan ahead of time where your (...) (23 years ago, 23-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.nclug, lugnet.trains.org)

If they require it, they will also require proof. The skirting we did for the layout (...) (23 years ago, 23-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.nclug, lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Skirts for Tables at GATS

(...) I'm uncertain as where to find fire retardant yardage to buy. I am guessing it would be fairly expensive. Did I read in a past post to Lugnet about a final rinse in Borax adding fire retardant properties to fabric. Is this correct? Does anyone (...)
