  Re: IBLTC

(...) I'd love to be the 2nd North Carolina rep (though if Cary or James want's the honor that would also work with me). I have made an effort to be in contact with other groups (just went up to Richmond on Saturday for the 2nd RichLUG meeting for (...)   Re: ICLTC

Todd Lehman wrote in message ... (...) What he said. The organisation is a great idea, but I'd rather see Congress than Brotherhood. Why be gratuitously exclusive when it's not necessary? Does this include clubs which don't call themselves LTC's but (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: 'Dog Bone'

Larry Pieniazek wrote in message ... (...) two. Yep, our VLC show layout last Nov was a dogbone with the doubletracked narrow section going over a causeway and bridge. We mostlty had 2 trains chasing each other around, with a few more in sidings (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: IBLTC

(...) Wow, that's kind of surprising to hear. I've been meaning to ask, as this thread has unfolded... Are women allowed in LEGO train clubs, or is it a boys-only thing? --Todd (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: IBLTC

(...) Count me in, and I agree with James (and your original idea) that IBLTC is the way to go. Has the train nature. ++Lar (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: GMLTC

(...) Exactly. However much you got hammered, I think it would have been worse if you hadn't been upfront about it. That's my thinking anyway. (...) Again, exactly right. If the market (interested people) is there, more than one group can be created (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Pictures of GFLTC at SMRC Train Show - Feb 24 & 25

(...) We are working on it, with new web site coming soon and more people wanting to join than I can keep up with. We could become one of the bigger LTC's in the next year. (...) That's cool! I remember talking to Moe at the Tampa show about the (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

  It's a P42 (Was: Nice model of a AMD103)

Josh, Thanks, that would be my model of a GE B42-9PH (Amtrak calls it a P42). It was on display at SMRC Train Show last weekend. I build it almost a year ago and plan on building a twin one day. See (URL) pictures of it with superliner cars are (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

  ....custom designed train

  Re: IBLTC

Sounds good to me, I've often wonder what other clubs are asking from the shows. And I agree that with the proven popularity of LTCs at shows that promoters are willing to pay reasonable amounts to have them there. Count me in. jt -- James J. (...)   Re: TeenLTC?

(...) OK I am confused... I thought that Kai was posting because he thought that GMLTC was inappropriate because it only covered Minnesotta not the Midwest. I didn't think the argument was about age restrictions at all. Isn't Kai a member of MILTC? (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

  TeenLTC?

There's been posts by people about not being able to join an LTC because of age requirements. Maybe we should form a "Teen LTC", like the model railroading teen club?   Re: Track to return engine? In English?

I was thinking of using 12v track for this kind of thing - running both rails as 0v, and both centre lines moving betweeen +9v..-9v. Dunno if it's worth trying to get hold of all that 12v track, though. Wouldn't need RCX control, but you would need (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)
