  Re: Brooklyn's Engine 226

(...) This latest fire station facade is just about perfect. I did notice that the second floor windows have more mullions than the prototype. I think it adds some character. Of all of your fire stations, I like the number 8 one the best; those (...) (18 years ago, 24-Oct-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Brooklyn's Engine 226

(...) Thanks! Yea, I bought quite a few copies of Tim Gould's "dark red wall" to be able to make this, among other things. Thanks again, Chris! Jonathan (18 years ago, 23-Oct-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Brooklyn's Engine 226

(...) Thanks! (...) Indeed. I was a little surprised yesterday when I went over to take pictures of the actual firehouse. I had been working from an older photo. The dark red is slightly faded and the notice board and fan (I actully think it is a (...) (18 years ago, 23-Oct-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Brooklyn's Engine 226

(...) Hi Jonathan, Great work as usual. I particularly like the windows and the roof detailing. I have a couple of nits with it though: Firstly, I think the door would look better done sideways like the windows and with the white patch (...) (18 years ago, 23-Oct-06, to lugnet.town)

  Brooklyn's Engine 226

Hi All, Earlier this summer I thought I was done with making firehouses but ended up making another one . . . (URL) This one is the firehouse in my neighborhood, Engine 226. I see them go by quite often and hear them even more often than that! Their (...) (18 years ago, 23-Oct-06, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town)

  Re: Manchester Diorama

I'll use this post to thank everyone. The guns were one of my favourite details too. I keep getting the "guns into farm tools" motto in my head when I see them. (...) Thanks. (...) Earlier versions didn't have the wall and it was pretty obvious (...) (18 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

"Tim Gould" <tgould.lego(AT@)gma...(DOT.)com> wrote in message news:J7Fup9.F4A@lugnet.com... (...) Tim: Very cool diorama. I really like how all the buildings are crowded together. The street level camera angles give an almost claustrophobic feel (...) (18 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Wheelie Pop

(...) Yeah, I have a 6 and 3 year old and the 3 year old would get launched 20 feet if one of those rides did a wheelie with scale force. I started with the generic bikes going around in a circle but I needed a little more of a challenge and my son (...) (18 years ago, 20-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Wheelie Pop

(...) SNIP. I can see why... Wheelies!! What a fun and cool animated ride!! Thanks for making the movie clip. "Big Daddy" Nelson (18 years ago, 20-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Wheelie Pop

That is really cool! As the father of a four-year old who rides those sorts of things however I have to point out that kiddie rides would never do a wheelie like that. :) (18 years ago, 20-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Wheelie Pop

Some of you may know that the NELUG train layout has a very large Ammusement Park on the layout. Other than the trains this is the biggest draw of our layout, some might even argue that it is THE major draw of the layout. Anyway I decide to take a (...)   Re: Manchester Diorama

I like the eye-level photography, it always gives more of an impression of 'being there'. The (URL) wall through the railway bridge> gives a good backscene without being a complicated build. Whats behind the curved blue fence (URL) the alley>? Any (...) (18 years ago, 20-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Manchester Diorama

(...) Very nice! I like the effect of the window shades in the white building with the brown roof. Love the street lamps. Also, the drain pipes made from the rifles. Cool! I wouldn't mind seeing a side/front shot of the bus, if possible. I had a (...) (18 years ago, 20-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Manchester Diorama

Hi all, I've finally decided to finally post pictures of my little home diorama that I've been making on-and-(mostly)off for the last three or so years.   Train station on Brickshelf

I noticed this on Brickshelf last week and was waiting the see if there would be a post about it but hadn't seen one. . . (URL) I think it has amazing potential. I am hoping to see it completed.   New #trains channel on EsperNet!

As Esper seems to be the defacto home for Lego IRC, already hosting a mecha and space channel, I thought it only fitting to create a trains channel as well.
