  Re: Several Town MOCs

(...) Hi, thanks for your comments. I agree, but I cannot move the cockpit as the concave double slope bricks wouldn't fit in then right below the windscreen. (...) Thanks, some tries make me presume these only look well when using LGEO, right? (...) (18 years ago, 7-May-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Several Town MOCs

(...) Hi Florian, You're getting a nice little collection there. I really like the long nosed passenger jet although I feel it would look a lot better if you moved the cockpit forward one brick (the nose is just a little too long IMO). (...) For (...) (18 years ago, 7-May-06, to lugnet.town)

  Several Town MOCs

Hello everyone, I'd like to show you my town models: (URL) They're all available for download in LDraw-MPD-Format (as instructions). BTW, I'm not sure how to do golden astronaut visors in LDraw yet (so they actually end up shiny in POV-Ray renders), (...)   New Adventurers Subtheme - Rum Runners

Inpired by this post: (URL) I like the gangsters idea, and I think it'd be a fun Adventurer's sub-theme, which I've nicknamed Rum Runners. The theme takes place during the Prohibition era of the United States, pitting the Rum Runners against The (...) (18 years ago, 6-May-06, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.town, FTX) !

  Re: Roaring 20's

(...) Not yet, but I've been thinking about it. I was actually thinking more along the lines of a gangster sub-theme of the Adventurer's series. Kind of a Johnny Thunder meets Al Capone sort of thing. The closest thing I've done is probably my (...) (18 years ago, 4-May-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Roaring 20's

I was wondering if anyone tried to do a Gangster theme. I don't have that creative skill, but I would like to see 1920's + style cars and trucks. Good guys, bad guys cars, Police paddy wagons, Beer trucks, etc. With the Batman sets, we now have (...) (18 years ago, 4-May-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Faile Street

(...) Thanks! That is a great point. I actually love grafitti as an art, myself. There are some really amazing murals through-out the city. The details and blends that people get with spray paint just astonish me. But, grafitti along with details on (...) (19 years ago, 3-May-06, to lugnet.town)

"Jonathan Lopes" <juanito11217@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:IyLJyA.sy4@lugnet.com... (...) One of the coolest city scenes I've seen, but where is the grafitti? Surely a broken down neighborhood as this would have enough random hoodlums about to (...) (19 years ago, 3-May-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Faile Street

(...) Thank you! (...) Great comment. In my research for this project I discovered the unsettling term: "planned shrinkage" which refers to the withdrawral of basic services (fire, police, health care, garbage pick-up, etc) from the community with (...)   Re: Faile Street

(...) Excellent work! I especially like the various styles of your buildings, and it's great to see that the Fire Dept. still responds to calls in this district. If anything, maybe more tires are needed in the vacant lot. Where is the (URL) Urban (...) (19 years ago, 3-May-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

(...) JOHN (Ashcan Builder) Wow. Thank you. You've described me right on and that means I am heading in the right direction with my creations and getting across what I want to get across. Thank you again. I don't know if you're aware of how good you (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

(...) Wow. This is really impressive. The details are wonderful, rendered only by one who has had first hand experience of them. Major kudos to you, Jonathan. You are truly an "Ashcanner" as I fear that I am not. I have to say that your level of (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Faile Street

(...) Thanks! I am always looking for new ideas for 'junk' for these abandoned lots and I love the idea. I just figured out how to make a washing machine too! (...) Always! Thanks again, Jonathan (19 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Faile Street

(...) Good job! I like the patches of red brick on the grey building. I agree with Tim about the weeds and the washing machine (although I don't know anything regarding his statement about the latter). Keep it up! Jeffery Maceachern BS: (URL) (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

(...) Thanks, very much! (...) You're right! Or, a cast iron bath tub or refridgerator (sp?). Here in NYC, the sanitation dept won't take the cast iron tubs and people tend to drop them off where ever (in open lots). I don't know how they lift them (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.town)

  Faile Street

Hello! I have completed another street for my layout this weekend: (URL) The street name came from a street in the Bronx that was affected considerably during the 1970's and 80's. This creation only uses the name, though. It does not represent the (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town) !!
