Below are the answers to the questions I posted a few days ago.  Feel free
to disagree with any of them.

1)  Which was the Widest town vehicle produced?

#6675 Road and Trail 4x4. (Note the question related to "town" not "LEGO
System".

2) Apart from the color schemes what else is different between the the new
green roadplates introduced in 1997 and the older grey roadplates produced
between 1986 and 1996?

Two possible answers

a) Number of studs on the border.  From 7 in 1996 to 8 in 1998.
b) The width of the bike/footpath is about one stud less.

3)  In which year did non "classic smiley" faces appear on Town Minifig
heads?

1992

4)  What was the major difference between the Ambulance set 6666, (released
in 1994) and all previously released "hospital related" sets?

The logo is a different.  A white snake on blue cross instead of the
previous red cross.

5)  How many Town sets released between 1986 and 1996 used a Red Battery
Box?   The battery box holds the 9v battery used in sets with the light and
sound functionality.

2.

a) 6484 F1 Hauler
b) 6399 Airport Monorail

6)  What's special about the roadplate that comes with set 6371 (Shell
Service Station)?

It's the only set ever released that features a "three lane" roadway.  The
plate has appeared in other sets but not with that style of printing.  It's
also useful when used as a bus stop.

7) The Maersk Truck (1831) features "Independent Suspension" for the trailer
wheels.  In other words the trailer wheels aren't fixed.  Which set first
featured this suspension type?

6541 Launch and Load Seaport

8) In which year did the minifig with a picture of a red RTV on his torso
first appear, and in which set?

6641 4-Wheelin' Truck
