Those would be the airport runway plates that were available from 1990.
They appeared in sets 6396 "International Airport" and 6597 "Century
Gateway"
They also appeared in a couple of other sets, 6339 "Shuttle Launch Pad" and
1821 "Rally Racers" although the markings on these plates was somewhat
different.

| (...) Well...they came in a regular town labled package, and are -not- the same as the runway pieces. These have a sidewalk, unlike the runway ones... My wife picked them up for me at a TRU in Vic, last christmas. I didn't know that they were not (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)
