Re: Monthly MOC: Milk delivery van

(...) Thank you - it's Town too. It's from the same time period as Adventurers. (...) That was my plan... (...) I don't recall that movie but I think I know which vehicle you are referring to. It's an Italian mix between a scooter and a car - right? (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.town)

Re: Monthly MOC: Milk delivery van

(...) I love it! I am not sure I see the connection to adventurers (1) so I copied town too. As some may recall I did a Tine Dairy milk wagon for one of the vehicles in my ISCC entry. I can see I need to do a Tine Dairy '20s lorry too, and with your (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.town)

  Re: Two new buildings

(...) I have viewed (& printed out) your galleries many times. They are quite the inspiration. I have tried to adopt your "mini land detail in mini fig scale" idea's. If you look at this pic, you can see how I used the log bricks in a similar manner (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: cornice

(...) I look forward to seeing the window sill. It's funny, I build a lot of my buildings from the top down as well. A couple of them I built 'from the windows out'. (windows were made first.) Jonathan (23 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: doors and windows pack

  doors and windows pack

Sorry if you have all seen this before, but I noticed in the new s@h catalogue a bulk doors and windows pack - 9274, 172 pieces. I thought funny, I was looking through bulk on-line yesterday and didn't notice it. So I went back and typed the set (...)   Re: cornice

(...) Strangely enough, you're probably right about that :) I'm currently working on building a bunch of futuristic motorcycles, with the plan to stage a race with them. Of course I'll need scenery for that. Oh no, I need a town :) Adrian -- (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: cornice

(...) Thanks. Let's spread the tie-fighter wing mount cornice around the world! :) -chris (23 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

  Re: cornice

(...) Yes it does. I only used the dk gray since I had several 1x2 bricks with technic pins in that color sitting on the layout. I think I will keep the scheme for the building. I wish that curve brick was available in an upside down version -- it (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: cornice

(...) Thanks for the compliment. I just looked at Brickshelf & saw the other cornice. Very impressive. I think I'll be borrowing it at some point. The dark grey seems to mellow out the bright green nicely. great job. Jonathan (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: cornice

(...) Ya, John's got some good ones. If you want masonry buildings from about 1850 to about 1950 or so, you gotta have those cornices... they're a defining feature of US cities, or so it seems. Using this heretofore thought worthless part this way (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: cornice

(...) Since I had a few minutes, I mocked up my other cornice idea and posted some pics. (URL) like this one a lot, it seems to fit the scale I build my buildings a little better. It also eats up a lot of those green round tops from the flash (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: Two new buildings

(...) Upon closer examination, I see the texture-- nice. Texture is the one thing that I just can't get enough of when it comes to building facades-- I just go nuts over the LL buildings. I happen to really like the log bricks for this kind of (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: cornice

(...) Thanks Adrian, I'm offically out of those parts now. This project did force a sort of all my unopened sith infiltrators finially. Remember, all themes lead to town. :) -chris (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: cornice

(...) Thanks! I have another cornice in the queue that is even more amazing and uses another part that comes in abundance in a starwars set. Maybe I'll do a mockup of it in a few minutes and post pics. I should say that I've been inspired to work on (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)
