If Lego made new Town sets... what should they be?

If Lego were to make new, non-juniorised Town sets, what would you like them to be? My top ten would be: Historic houses (ones that are likely to still exist in a modern town) Town Hall Neighbourhood park (with kids play equipment, trees, flowers, (...) (25 years ago, 18-Dec-99, to lugnet.town)

  Dust on City

(...) Ahh, your sets are new. I thought the city was displayed for a long period of time. I have a 3' x 4' castle, nowhere near the size of your town, and I put a plastic table cloth over it. And yes, I've knocked over the odd minifig... Yeah I hate (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.town)

Re: Millennium City - Go Live

No stretching was necessary as I began assembling the Town in one go. I started at the top right (City central) and finished up at the bottom left (Pinehaven). I took photo's as I went and was able to get a bus load of closeup shots as a result. (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.town)

Re: Millennium City - Go Live

For my ideas on Digital photography check out (URL) isn't a concern when the sets are in boxes ;-) Millennium City was built during a seven day period in early October then dismantled once the pictures were taken. I just don't have the room to house (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.town)

Re: Millennium City - Go Live

(...) I'll answer how I keep the dust off of my city-table layout. I keep a old king size bed sheet over it when I'm not displaying it. This keeps it practically dust free. John Warren (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.town)

  Lego Swagman Idea

I have come up with an idea for a lego swagman. You will need: a brown or black atenna or lightsaber blade piece a brown "indiana jones" hat from the adventurers line blue legs with blue hips (for jeans, they wore those because they lasted very long (...) (25 years ago, 18-Dec-99, to lugnet.town)

  Lego Shearer Idea

Re: Millennium City - Go Live

(...) I agree. Very good picture. Your pieces looked remarkably clean too. My only question is how do you get access to the middle of the city? It seems like you have to stretch about four feet to get there. Jimmy (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.town)

  YOUR WANT LIST

Hi Legofans, I invite you to send me your want list, your lego references wished, by mail. See you later, Emmanuel. E-MAIL: dya.shopping@wanadoo.fr (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.town)

Re: Millennium City - Go Live

(...) Your city looks absolutely awesome! And I could probably use a few tips on photography from you. :) I have a question: Isn't dust settling over your city a concern? How do you deal with that? Bryan (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.town)

  Millennium City - Go Live

The first couple of pages of the new Millennium City page have now gone up. First up, a picture of part of Highbury, the industrial area of the city. Linked from the first page is a map of the city. I'll be adding more as time permits. Design Notes: (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.town)

Re: Ponte Vecchio - Elevated Road Bridge Over Rail

Thanks, Gary, for the interesting bits about the bridge in Florence. (Got to get my cities straight.) I also looked at Eric J's pictures, neato. I'm going to start a "journal" format web page for this project. The first two pictures are at (URL) (...) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Beds

(...) A good source of minifig carpets is Belville sets 5820 (pink), 5821 (green), 5835 (white). They look like long towels but fit perfectly on my fitness centre floors. Allan (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.town)

  Review of 6575 Polar Base

This juniorized set is divided into 7 sub-models. The helicopter, the tracked vehicle, the snowmobile, and the 4 quarters of the structure. 435 pieces per the box. General cool things: There is a single instruction book, which has photographs of (...) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.town)

Partial review of 6600 Highway Construction - Comments on the Highway System

Well, out Target just put out all the new sets, and I bought most of them (All the castle, all the Star Wars System sets (not Technic), all the Arctic, 6600 Highway Construction, and 6474 Wheeled Front Shovel). I immediately took out the highway (...) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.town)

Re: Ponte Vecchio - Elevated Road Bridge Over Rail

(...) It does. If you're interested, I have several shots from my vacation to Florence (which, my god, was almost a year ago). I don't have them scanned in currently, though if you're patient I can have them by just after Christmas (I don't own a (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains)

Re: Ponte Vecchio - Elevated Road Bridge Over Rail

(...) side. Err. I think it's a bit far from the Pitti, if memory serves. And I'm not so sure it (presently) connects to the Uffizi. (...) If so, it's not open to the public, or part of the Uffizi Museum. (...) The anecdote I heard was that the (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains)

Re: Ponte Vecchio - Elevated Road Bridge Over Rail

Great ideas Erik! Only you've got the wrong Italian city for the Ponte Vecchio. It is actually in Florence. The Ponte Vecchio bridge is very interesting because on top of the bridge are 2 galleries, the lower gallery consists of shops and stores, (...) That´s easily solved as well: Build a stone floor :-) --Tobias (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Beds

(...) See, that's why LEGO towns need so many emergency services. The other problem they have is smokers falling asleep on the carpet, and setting the house on fire... (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.town)
