Hi everyone!
I think that the IP address thing is a great idea. It's good to get the
cheaters out of there because that really isn't necessary. It's not like we
are going for a million bucks here, it's just a chance for people to show
their stuff and what they are capable of (Lego wise that is). The real
problem will be AFTER the voting. I'm not sure if there will be enough fans
out there voting for one thing. I think you will have people just "telling"
their friends to vote for them and not even look at other entries. Of
course everyone knows this. The second point is that I think that who ever
wins their respected category(ies)is going to stir up some talk. You know,
the gossip like "Oh, he just had a whole bunch of friends vote for him (or
her)," "he just got every member of his (or her) family to vote for him (or
her)." I am an entry in this contest under the Town Layout category. When
I checked out the stats to see what was going on, I was astonished to find
my layout with votes in OTHER categories as well. I was not expecting this
at all. It doesn't really matter to me if I win. Just the fact that I have
gotten 1% of the votes in a category makes me feel great knowing that
someone took the time to look at my layout and thought it was good makes
entering the contest worthwhile!
