  Soccer buses

I really like the look of the soccer buses. Although not a soccer fan, I look forward to them as being a nice general bus to have in a town collection, and a good minifig pack. I was wondering, how good is the interior of the bus? Are there chairs? (...) (24 years ago, 2-Jul-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Soccer buses

The buses really don't look all that bad. However, I'm wondering if those wheels can be changed somehow. Those are the most god-awful wheels I've ever seen. Can the wheels that have been on the trucks for the past 6 years or so be put on somehow? I (...) (24 years ago, 3-Jul-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Soccer buses

(...) The wheels are kind of ugly, but I don't think they realy hurt the bus. It looks like you could use the more decorative Adventurer car wheels, althouhgh that doesn't really make sense for a bus. Try it anyway. (24 years ago, 3-Jul-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Soccer buses

(...) You know something? I really DO want to try putting new wheels on. However, living in a town in South Dakota, we're the last ones to get anything new. I don't even know if soccer Legos will make it out here. It seems to me they are out (...) (24 years ago, 3-Jul-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Soccer buses

(...) I like the look, but what is up with the pricing? Do all of the sets come with a 'real soccer ball', or are we supposed to be happy to shell out 20USD for 126 pieces? Steve (24 years ago, 5-Jul-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Soccer buses

(...) Sure. You can put any wheel which fits on a Technic pin on easily. You can replace the 2x4 plate w/Technic pins on the end with other parts to mount other wheels. (24 years ago, 5-Jul-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Soccer buses

(...) The set with the ball actually has a different number (3411). I think it's also a different color than the regular bus set with the American teams. It also doesn't come with 5 countries worth of stickers. (24 years ago, 5-Jul-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Soccer buses

(...) In another post someone mentioned receiving stickers. Is it just that there are not as many stickers in the ball set as described in the S@H catalog? If so, what are the countries included in the soccer ball set? --Raymond Flournoy ===...=== (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jul-00, to lugnet.town)

(...) The United States, Brazil, and Canada. These stickers have a white background, though, which contrasts with the stickers you get from the normal white bus. Jeffrey Huntington (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Soccer buses

(...) IS there a set available with all 5 teams listed (Mexico etc.)? I got the one with the ball, is there a way to get it without the ball but with the proper stickers? If so, is it clear like the other busses or still ugly white background? (24 years ago, 24-Jul-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Soccer buses

(...) I think it will actually look nice with the Adventurers wheels. That's what I am going to do. I'm going to have a fleet of three buses, red/white to match the monorail, as well as a fourth blue/white bus that will be used for something (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jul-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Soccer buses

I think that 2x2 round disk tiles would make good "hub caps" for the 2x2 stud wheels on the soccer buses. Use either gray or the team color 2x2 round disk tiles. One issue might be the thickness that the 2x2 round disk tiles adds to the wheel. I (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jul-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Soccer buses

Sorry for the late response; just came back from vacation. To get all five stickers, you have to buy the blue bus. It comes with the United States, Brazil, Canada, Argentina, and Mexico. Sadly, these come with a blue background. The only buses that (...) (24 years ago, 29-Jul-00, to lugnet.town)
