(...) how did I miss that?! Yep, I've tried it now; I attached 8462 wheels to them, and it works a treat - 2 pulleys makes sure there's no play. The problem is that, even with the wheels fitted as inboard as possible, flipped so that the track is (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) I'm guessing that the setup with the three friction pegs gives the wheel some more stability. If they had used only a cross axle, the wheel might have been a bit sloppy. Wheels that are that large probably need something larger than a cross (...) (23 years ago, 28-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) I certainly like the way most of the new cars use only one shock absorber per wheel. That is much more realistic than the twin shock abosorbers from 8880.
