| | What is everyone's favorite type of Technic wheel? (tire and hub) I like the 81.6x34 ZR ones the best. (these come with the 8857 Street Chopper and 8880 Super Car) I know many people here also prefer the 24x43s and the older type of 20x30s... (...) (24 years ago, 19-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | (...) My favourite's the 20x30 but I'd like to see more of the tyre's on the barcode truck. They're pneumatic, have a realistic tread, have the correct height/width ratio and are a nice size. The hub doesn't look bad either. How many people know (...) (24 years ago, 19-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | | (...) Yes, I agree with the Barcode Truck's wheels. They're very realistic looking. I also like the slightly larger ones found on two of the model team trucks, e.g. the black cat rig, no 5571. I also like the slick motor cycle wheels off 8422. (...) | | | | Way back when the 8848 "Power Truck" (U.S.) came out and first saw the 20x30; I fell in love with them. Used them on a lot of MOC. But Fredirk was saying the 68.8x24 on the 8479 Barcode have some real potential. I think LEGO is not taking advantage (...) (24 years ago, 19-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | | It's hard to pick an overall favorite. For trucks I'd go for the old 24x43 as found in the first technics series (851 and 853). Just after looking at some pics and noticed two things: the old 857(motorbike with sidecar) was (re?) released as 8857, (...) (24 years ago, 20-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

The front wheel in <set:8417> is great but only for smaller scale. The (...) (24 years ago, 20-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | | (...) Yup, these are my favourite too, great proportions for trucks and construction machines and they look fantastic. Of course they are a bit wide for single wheels but that can usually be worked around. I really like the old 24x43 ones too but (...) (24 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.technic)
