Hi all, I'm sure many of you have seen previous pictures of my Caterham replica, but it is now finished! The finishing touch to the model is the working windscreen wipers. (...) Here's an idea you can try to have them slip a bit less. Do you have the ordinary chain links too? Then ones without the wide tread? If so use an ordinary chain link for every third link, say. (...) Those treads are a Dacta item. You can bulk order them. They are somewhat slippery for use as treads. They are like the chain links with an extra bar molded over the top of each link. I think Dacta calls them conveyer belt links. (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Lego customer service is really good about this (as has been written before on this newsgroup). This is a known problem with this motor.
