Re: Is "traditional" Technic being killed off?

(...) Not wanting to be too argumentative, but most of the ways listed use parts that conform to the "traditional" technic model - something that mounts to studs on a brick or plate and then uses a connector or pin to interface to the "newer" parts.   Re: what wheels work with the 8466 suspension parts?

(...) The specific part that attaches to the wheel is black and yellow. The actual connection is 3 friction peg ends that snap into the wheel hub. You can easily put 2 small pulleys on the friction peg ends, and then stick an axle through the (...) (23 years ago, 24-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

  is the 8465 any good?

What do people here think of the 8465? Are there any interesting/rare/cool parts in it? I understand it comes with the same suspension parts as on the rebel wrecker but what colors and how many?   Re: Mini Motor "VS" Micro Motor when steering??

The micro motor is good for steering small models. It is very slow and has very little torque. I used a pair of them with success on the alternate model of the Silver Champion, but it will steer only when the wheels are rolling. Look here for the (...) (23 years ago, 24-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Mini Motor "VS" Micro Motor when steering??

I currently use the Lego Mini Motor # 5225 to power my steering. I've noticed that everyone else uses the Lego Micro Motor # 5119 instead. Are these micro motors geared slower or higher than the mini motors? Would they have enough power to steer the (...) (23 years ago, 24-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Is "traditional" Technic being killed off?

(...) In a way your right, your saying the "look" of Technic has changed and that we have to change our building style. But this isn't the actual problem as far as I'm concerned. Almost all the great builders on this forum combine technic with (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Is "traditional" Technic being killed off?

Having followed all the discussion on this topic, I have finally decided to add my two cents worth. I have decided that the Technic line has now evolved into a different toy, and for many of us having being used to the "traditional" Technic, it has (...) (...) So you do think LEGO's got it right? (...) Are you serious? "...if it were my company I would use it...and try to remedy" implies fairly strongly that what you suggest is (in your mind) different to what's happening now. And the overwhelmingly (...)
