In a way your right, your saying the "look" of Technic has changed and that
we have to change our building style. But this isn't the actual problem as
far as I'm concerned. Almost all the great builders on this forum combine
technic with ordinary bricks to form a model that not only has working
features but also looks good. All the truck builders would despair if they
couldn't attach their solid brick cabs to their holed technic brick chassis.
So the new bricks are fine for skeletal style modes but most of us just want
to preserve the cross compatability between technic and the standard brick.
I realise normal bricks can be combined with studless beams but I'd rather
not go to all the extra effort of doing so when it's so simple to do with
the standard technic beam.
You'll never beat the Technic beam and 1xn plate combination.
