  Rule update.

(...) fixed. So if you have anything else that needs a few pointers now is the time. In the future the rules might change between two months if there is a special need. 1) The entry must be made out of 100% non altered LEGO with a few exceptions: (...) (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) Ah, #2 is good, that will suddenly open the challenge for my own models and the one resting on the "in-progress" shelf as-well :> I did overlook the HiTechnic RC Unit when I wrote that rule and also my own RC stuff. HiTechnic is a good thing (...) (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Teaser04

Pohatu: Tahu and Kopaka have called a meeting in Ta-koro. I'm going to show this to them. Onewa: Good because according to Huki whatever this is, it must have destroyed all those Nui-jaga and Pahrak by itself. (URL) for looking Nicole~ (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: Is the Technic brand being phased out?

In lugnet.technic, Mark Koesel writes: <snip> (...) I can't offer any insight to this as I don't know anything, but I'll say that I share your feelings and fears. Let's hope "Technic" will stick around, in some form or another. TJ (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Is the Technic brand being phased out?

After putting together the cool new 8010 Darth Vader "Technic Set" last night, I noticed that the box does not even say "Technic" on it. This got me wondering, so today, I took a closer look at the upcoming "Technic sets" here, (URL) low and behold, (...) (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

(...) No "structural stickers" ;-D (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) You may want to rule that they can be for decorative use only.... no using stickers to give your model additional cohesiveness... (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

One more thing on Non-Lego parts. What about the use of remote control equipment? I've entered my tractor, but I completely forgot that I've used HiTechnic's R/C unit. I know there are several builders out there that use this particular device in (...) (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) I hope cranes are allowed. It would be just terrible if they weren't ;-) (...) If you're going to allow cranes, you'll need to allow the use of string to: 1. connect spool(s) to lifting hook(s) 2. connect spool(s) to main boom and jib 3. all (...)   Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) NOTE: Stickers must be made by hand (or computer). Prefabricated stickers are not allowed (unless LEGO made them of course). /Tobbe (URL) (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Single set Technic Power Pulling.

(...) Correct! I'd better update the info on this, thanks! /Tobbe (URL) (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) Thanks! (...) Sounds like someone wants to enter with a crane of some sort .) This is something I did look by, let's see. String should be OK as long as it's not used to tie the pieces togheter, e.g. string from a spool to a crane hook for (...) (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

  RE: Bucket

Hi, Can't (immediately) answer the question "are there any sets with the same size bucket as 8862 but in black" but I can confirm the bucket sizes from 8235, 8862 and 8464 (as I have all three sets, four buckets). The smallest yellow bucket in 8862 (...) (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) Great idea Tobbe! A couple of questions / clarifications: 1. 100% pure lego is quite a restriction. The problems I'd have with that is string, rubber bands, and possibly weights and stickers (though I've never used stickers yet). Are such (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Teaser 03

Lewa: Matau I'm going to take this to Vakama and Tahu and see what they have to say about it. Matau: Good, because after seeing all those destroyed Nui-Jaga I wouldn't want whatever that is after me.
