  Lego Technic 8466 Off-Roader 4 x 4
 
Hello All, I found yesterday at Costco (Marché Central, Montréal) the all-new lego technic 8466 Off-Roader. They had about 100 sets. This set is quite incredible but I guess The Lego group had to cute somewhere due to high price for Large Technic (...) (23 years ago, 1-Nov-01, to lugnet.technic)

I have heard about his from a friend who knows people in Lego too, although I don't remember if he said they roll along, but I also remember that at the time we were almost sure they were gonna be more spider-ish, and there was something about webs (...) I was chatting to the manager of the Legoland shop a couple of weeks ago, and she said she'd seen the new range (Bohrok) and that they come in a canister (like the Toa) but it's see-through, and that they roll along in a ball and then spring open. Well, not yet I guess. I will take some time before I really start with it. It will cost me a lot of time and a lot of space (and of course LEGO pieces ...) Anyway, it's still in concept. For all truck fanatics: Ron Jansen did not only built the Liebherr crane, but also some great truck models. He build in the same scale as I do: 1:13. Curious? Just take a look on Brickshelf. Notice the " ' ' "'s around spiders(like this 'spiders'), meaning that these are the things that were RUMORED to be be spiders, but this is what they turned out as. Hello Bioniclers, my daughter made me install the Nestlé promotion Bionicle CD (104 MB hard disk space, and you still need the CD in the drive! :-P). 5246 are the famous old massive tyres. These are 81,6 mm. The side says LEGO 24x43. The ri is grey. 5248 are the same tyres, only smaller, 62 mm. The side says LEGO 20x30. Also with a grey rim. 5271 are also massive tyres. Some all-terrain tyres. (...) (23 years ago, 31-Oct-01, to lugnet.technic)

Hayo, it seems that those Bionicle sets already released will continue in their current forms, AND all future sets will not have Maori names. what wheels/tyres come in these service packs: 5246 5248 5271 What does it say on the sidewall of the tyres (if anything)? What set(s) feature the wheels?
