Hayo, it seems that those Bionicle sets already released will continue in
their current forms, AND all future sets will not have Maori names. The
Bionicle line as we all know it will continue, and apparently the names of
existing figures will not be changed.
Check the short story at Mask of Destiny, Purple_Dave called people he knows
at Lego to confirm this.

I guess that most of us FOBs don't care whether the toy names are authentic,
as long as the story and the toys work together. And you can name your MOCs
to suit yourself, just be careful when publishing fanfic!
