Re: Greatest demand is for Bionicle -- Yuck! :)

"Michael Huffman" <mhuffman@mindspring.com> wrote in message news:GLCq2z.H81@lugnet.com... (...) That's done it!   Re: Suspension for supercar sized Hummer?

(...) No, buy it for the tires! ;-) (...) FLIMSY?! I have faith in this one: (URL) pounded it up and down with my fist and the suspension held up fine. With enough shock absorbers, it would definitely support a model the size of a big super car. TJ (23 years ago, 17-Oct-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Large Crane MOC

(...) It doesn't even come close! Dennis' crane had a maximum height of 4.2 meters and I estimate this new crane to have a maximum height of around 2.7 meters. And there are other Lego cranes that exceed 2.7 m ;-) TJ (23 years ago, 17-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.technic)

Re: Suspension for supercar sized Hummer?

One thing I forgot to mention is that this will be powered by 4 gear motors on the back wheels and 2 to steer. The steering wheels will be powered by an RCX and monitored with a rotation sensor. The back 4 will be powered by a battery box controlled (...) (23 years ago, 17-Oct-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Suspension for supercar sized Hummer?

(...) One thing to remeber about hummers is they often have geared hubs, which raises the suspension even further off the ground. I've thought about trying to build these before, but never had any firm ideas - simething else always seems to take (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Large Crane MOC

On the page it says 'the world's largest Lego Crane', but I'm not so sure it beats Dennis' Monster Liebherr ((URL) wonder if this might be the crane that's been announced for the Lego event in Holland in two weeks time....   Slizer & Throwbot: Why the 2 names?

Yeah, I know I'm talking about a dead product line that many wish never existed (who knows if we'll be saying that about Bionicle years from now)... but I'm interested in marketing, so humor me if you wish. We know that the LEGO company's first (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.technic.slizer, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: Suspension for supercar sized Hummer?

Finally, a decent Technic discussion! (...) I'm not sure if it will be easy to get 2.5" of ground clearance given the wheels you will be using.   Suspension for supercar sized Hummer?

I have been thinking about building a supercar Sized Hummer for some time now and have run into a problem. I need a 4wd independent suspension with good ground clearance. I plan to use the wheels off of the Super Street Sensation and want the center (...) (23 years ago, 17-Oct-01, to lugnet.technic)

Here's how to avoid "freezes" in Mata Nui game

Recent postings on the Bionicle zone suggest that you can get out of the many "freeze" bugs in the on-line game like this: "Click on your flute, then exit out of the flute!" Apparantly, its been tested by others and found to work every time. - (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: I AM SO POed!!!...!!!

This is unfortunate, but there is really nothing you can do about it. Obviously, there might have been other reasons why the game was cancelled, programming might have been one of them.   Large Crane MOC

Steve Lane sent me this link yesterday and I thought it would be of interest to many of you: (URL) mid-page, there's a small thumbnail pic of a crane along with the builder. Click on the pic to see the full view. It's pretty impressive. However, (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: I AM SO POed!!!...!!!

I saw a very detailed notice on Kanohi-Power about this sad news. (URL) really awful news, that the game is not going to be produced at all.
