One thing I forgot to mention is that this will be powered by 4 gear motors on the back wheels and 2 to steer. The steering wheels will be powered by an RCX and monitored with a rotation sensor. Finally, a decent Technic discussion! (...) I'm not sure if it will be easy to get 2.5" of ground clearance given the wheels you will be using. This is unfortunate, but there is really nothing you can do about it. Obviously, there might have been other reasons why the game was cancelled, programming might have been one of them. I saw a very detailed notice on Kanohi-Power about this sad news. (URL) really awful news, that the game is not going to be produced at all.
