  Re: Copper Masks

Asked at the TRU here in Belleville, IL. They were supposed to get the promo stuff, did not get it, don't know when they will. Side note, they had about two full shelf displays of the Masks boxes, @ 2.99 each - whereas WalMart, KMart & Target are (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Tohunga question

Oh - did not notice that. BTW - Two of the 3 McDonalds in our neck of the woods (Belleville, IL) still has #1 - Huki, but the one on the main road is out and now has #6 - Matoro. (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Tohunga question

Mark I think you've got them all. However, for clarification, Tohunga Maku does NOT wear a great mask. She's got the Huna mask which is a Noble mask NOT a Great mask. Hmm...maybe some gender issue here? :) However, I would have *liked* if Lego had (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Tohunga question

Excuse my ignorance, but what other Tohunga's are there besides the 6 from McDonalds & the extra guy from the CD set? At any rate, this is how I understand those 7 to match up: Tohunga Huki -> Toa Pohatu (orange - brown) Tohunga Onepu -> Toa Onua (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Tohunga question

Are each of the Tohunga intended to "match up" with a Toa and a Turaga? If so, which one matches with which? Some have obvious color similarities, while others are less clear. And if they do match, then what about the extra Tohunga (six from (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Copper Masks

The TRU Promo was supposed to run on 9/8 Sat. some places had posters a few weeks prior that mentioned it. However others did not. The mask is a Copper Huna mask. The Walmart promo, which was not as well organized, is what you have found. They gave (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Two silly items

(...) Overpriced Train set??? Useless parts....Whoa....back the truck up. I don't see the big craze with Bionical, and if you are big into lego mecha, I would find that the TOA sets and the LOM mecha sets are pretty good. I wouldn't associate the (...)   Re: Wiring Gear Motors

(...) As I (and I'm sure John Barnes as well!) have found it is possible to take the end connector apart and fit the two way ribbon cable back into it again. I've used this technique to make several medium length cables from a bunch of very long and (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Copper Masks

(...) Congrats! You got in on the same promotion that Walmart had 2 weeks ago. There aren't very many of them that still have the masks available. -Dave (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Two silly items

(...) Fair enough. Leave the Bionicle to those of use who find them useful, then. I promise to leave the metroliners alone. Better a small, low cost technic set with useful new parts than another overpriced old train with the same useless parts (...)   Re: Copper Masks

What's the details about this promotional? Only one TRU in this neck of the woods, and it's not exactly in "Oh just going down to the store, be back in a few" range...   Re: FOTW (ish)

(...)   Re: FOTW (ish)

(...) Thanks Jason Unfortunately it didn't come with a lead. I have a couple of leads with a middle plastic pin but no motors to go with them and I have an old black motor but with no lead so I'm a bit stuffed for testing it. I guess it's 4.5v even (...)   Tohunga goldmine!

We went over to the McDonalds on State Street, near K-mart today here in Binghamton NY. Score!   Tohunga Quest! Action! Adventure! Well, ok, maybe not...

A few days ago, we were at a McDonald's in Wal-Mart, picking up some Hukis. My little brother was very excited, he loves Bionicle, and he got some mask sets, so he wanted to get two (at least) of each Tohunga so he could make different villagers. (...) (23 years ago, 11-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic)
