  Re: 8466 4 wheel steering?

(...) interesting solutions! Of course, yet another alternative is Jennifer Clark's flexible Znap axle solution, (URL) of course any solutions that (re)move the differential to an inboard position have their own 'packaging' problems that have to be (...)   Re: 8466 4 wheel steering?

(...) how did I miss that?! Yep, I've tried it now; I attached 8462 wheels to them, and it works a treat - 2 pulleys makes sure there's no play. The problem is that, even with the wheels fitted as inboard as possible, flipped so that the track is (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Tower Crane

On your website you talk about changing the winch and doing something different than a rack gear system. I saw this once on a light-duty construction crane: (URL) not 100% certain about the mechanism that drove the trolly back and forth, but the (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: New MOC: Simple Arched Bridge

(...) Thanks! It was just a quickie and more of a learning experience than a MOC. It's actually quite simple once you establish a pattern. All the arch segments are built the same so it's copy, copy, and copy. Then before you know it, you've got a (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Tower Crane

Oh duh, I forgot to say a few other things. Nice Job! The crane looks good. Keep us informed of your progress in the modifications, I look forward to it. What loads have you tried lifting? To all those saying, "blah, another crane?". I say, "you can (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

  New MOC: Simple Arched Bridge

I've completed a quick MOC, an arched bridge: (URL) was really just for fun. I guess I got a little carried away yesterday- this only took 7 hours to build. I did learn a lot more about building bridges though. I've explained it all on the webpage. (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Re: New Tower Crane

(...) I haven't found any good string either. I've used simple cotton thread and also nylon rope. Both types have residual "twist" that effects your block, particularly when it's lowered all the way and the string length is long. I suppose you'll (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Is the last prophecy changing?

Here's a theory: Since you(the tohunga have been changing Mata NUi for the better, Mata Nui is being saved and you'll be the here, as opposed to Makuta taking over. (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  New Tower Crane

I have just updated my web site with a new tower crane built a few weeks ago. I would very much appreciate your comments. Something I am interested to know is what type of string you use for your crane winch? I used Carpet Stiching Twine for it's (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)
