Re: LEGO Plans $15M Push for Bionicle Games

(...) I think this is the kind of behavior that TLC wants to occur. After all, Bionicle is about collecting. :^) ~1st Lieutenant, Fleebnork Division Muffin Head (25 years ago, 15-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO Plans $15M Push for Bionicle Games

NOOO...OOO!!! You heard it: "Exclusive characters available only through an upcoming Happy Meal promotion with McDonald's" Now we will have to buy fast food just to get a complete collection of Bionicle characters! I think the promo sets will be the (...) (25 years ago, 15-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO Plans $15M Push for Bionicle Games

(...) I don't think they will gather dust. Over here, the Bionicles are hot stuff. The shops can hardly supply enough of them! (...) The Bionicles are still LEGO. Both in name and in function. You can still use the elements to build something other (...) (25 years ago, 15-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.general)

  Lego biped links

Hi there, Chilling at home for 4 days during Easter would be a lot better if the mail had delivered my Vision Command kit before the holidays. It didn't, so I'm forced to postpone major additions to the Technic Puppy site which require digital photo (...) (25 years ago, 15-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Re: LEGO Plans $15M Push for Bionicle Games

Ok, I agree with most of the fads you mentioned. But Craftmatic adjustable beds?!?!?! I've been wanting one of those for as long as I can remember. The ads have been on for years, and I know someone must be buying the things. Not only has the (...) (25 years ago, 15-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO Plans $15M Push for Bionicle Games

(...) This is really too bad for most of us AFOL's. I had hoped that LEGO would return to their traditional business of offering sets with more versatility instead of all this. I can see it now, after all the Bionicle promotions are over with, the (...) (25 years ago, 15-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.general)

  Re: LSD/Auto-Locking Differential Gears

I have managed to make a LSD using the white clutch gear (clutch-pack type of LSD). Sorry, no pics yet! My original plan was to make a torsen type LSD, but after learning how one works, I have concluded that it's impossible to do with lego parts. (...) (25 years ago, 14-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

  LSD/Auto-Locking Differential Gears

I just had a question...has anyone here been able to successfully build a limited slip differential (LSD) or automatic locking differential out of the Technic elements? I've been toying around with the various types of differential designs used in (...) (25 years ago, 14-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Silver Champion

(...) Thanks for your interest...I'll post a link here in a week or so when I have it operational (although it will probably take a while to write all those reviews). I've had a similar experience with that site...I didn't even know of the existence (...) (25 years ago, 14-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Silver Champion

(...) Great! I'll love to see it. When I just came out of my dark ages and had no clue on the various sets that came out when I was away from LEGO I found this sight: (URL) it really helped me with my LEGO Technic education and served as a good (...) (25 years ago, 14-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: The bodge and it's use in Technic Construction

I think this is a regional thing and depends on where you live on how it's pronounced. I've heard it both ways. Mike ----- Mike Faunce mike at faunce dot com "bob sardelli" <squidmaan@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:GBMtyn.F1M@lugnet.com... (...) (...) (25 years ago, 13-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Silver Champion

(...) I thought it wasn't too bad a set but was way overpriced; I bought it for the original $170 price and was far less than satisfied. Although you're right, the basic construction is very impressive. They actually don't use too many traditional (...) (25 years ago, 14-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Silver Champion

I just finished building my <set:8458 Silver Champion> and I have a few impressions. First of all, while it is very low on functions (for it size) I'm still happy with it. I enjoyed the building of the chassis and the suspension system very much. (...) (25 years ago, 14-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: The bodge and it's use in Technic Construction

(...) This example by Mark Twain doesn't convince me, it ignores the context of letters (try find an english word were gh at the beginning is pronounced f). Read (URL) and have a good laugh too. Jürgen (25 years ago, 13-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Additional set with old-style 9v motor

Pretty stupid of me to leave that one out, considering I have it...LOL Anyway this is a very nice set for parts: it contains the 9V motor and micromotor as you said, 6 electric cables of various lengths (2 (...)   Re: Yet another use for 7106

(...) Jennifer, you are a total nerd. Lego, Star Trek, the whole package. Why didn't I meet you before I got married. Life is so unfair sometimes :( (25 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Bionicle Reference Chart

I put the chart together becuase I could never remember what characters where associated with other characters and places. It was getting confusing when the villagers were talking to me and they were using all of these different names. I placed the (...) (25 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)
