  New Williams

Hi all- Delurking Welcome to my new incarnation of my williams fw25 - version 5 revision "B" (2 URLs) It's taken me all year, but I finally have a perfect model - now I get to do it all again when williams release their fw26:) PLMKWYT - I need the (...)   Re: Connecting New Cylinders

(...) Well, the first example is in a post by Dennis Boseman: (URL) used them in my original and/or gates. A single piston can give you two stable states, expanded or contracted. Two pistons can give you three lengths with four stable states: (...) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Modified, Motorized 8466 Off-Roader

I've been working on this for a little while. I've strengthened the suspension and drivetrain on the front of the 8466, and created an entirely new rear suspension that articulates over just about everything. The vehicle is 4 wheel drive, (...) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-03, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: some pneumatic stuff

(...) What is a protection valve? (...) A piston with both ports used, and a switch with all three ports used is a transistor, right? (...) Kevin (21 years ago, 15-Dec-03, to lugnet.technic)

  some pneumatic stuff

hi thinking about pneumatics i found an idea of protection valve DL (URL) pneumatic transistor :))))) DL (URL) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: The badgers have driven me insane...

(...) This badgerthing is seriously thretening my health. Each time some new version of the theme shows up I laugh so hard I allmost suffocate! My personal health aside, good work dude!   Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

Hello Could you please let us know when you have posted the CAD files. I would love to build one. Thanks (21 years ago, 15-Dec-03, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Connecting New Cylinders

(...) Probably what amounts to a braindead question coming up... Could someone describes some possible applications for this design pattern? Thanks >> Mark (21 years ago, 14-Dec-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Connecting New Cylinders

Hi Jonathan, For the loading crane of my MAN tipper truck I've connected to old style cylinders with 1/2 pins and plate corners. In the crane arm there's only space for a two studs wide cylinder so I've glued to together :) (URL) Dennis Bosman (URL) (...) (21 years ago, 14-Dec-03, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

(...) Rather thank Mark... I just made the photograph :o) Philo (21 years ago, 13-Dec-03, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) I keep most of them built up these days, you are right, it is definitely hard to take these apart, they take months to build... Really the only time I think about taking a model apart is when it is superceded by a better one. Jennifer (21 years ago, 12-Dec-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Connecting New Cylinders

(...) Well, I don't have any of the new pistons so this may not work, but have a look at this setup (click for larger view): (URL) With the new pistons, you should be able to use the new 1x2 liftarms instead. To get the liftarm to seat properly over (...) (21 years ago, 12-Dec-03, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  My first swiled LEGO

I called LEGO the other day about a piston that had a broken off pressure port, and got a replacement. The replacement piston has swirls of a darker colored plastic in the yellow cylinder part as can be seen here in the right piston. (URL) not aware (...) (21 years ago, 12-Dec-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Connecting New Cylinders

(...) Hi Jonathan, Here is a second version. The gaps between two back to back are not nice integral stud lengths. This makes it a pain. It turns out that the larger of the two gaps is the pretty close to the distance between the outer edges of (...) (21 years ago, 12-Dec-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Connecting New Cylinders

(...) Hi Jonathan, I'd never tried this, but was able to come up with this: (URL) problem with it is that the pistons are not in perfect alignment. (URL) (21 years ago, 12-Dec-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) A comment on how you might be able to control the speed of pneumatics is to add an orifice to both of the line of the cylinder. This would regulate the amount and speed of the air entering and leaving the cylinder. Hope this gives you some (...) (21 years ago, 12-Dec-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Connecting New Cylinders

Hello I am trying to connect two of the new form factor cylinders back-to-back. Does any one have any ideas? I wish only to use lego parts. Thanks (21 years ago, 12-Dec-03, to lugnet.technic)
