hi all! after reading some threads on this group i found the idea i propose to build a car as much sofisticated as possible and with fully functioning mechanisms i mean anyone can build just parts as good as possible my restrictions are: (anyone can (...) (...) I'd like to see a Hummer or a Icelandic racer (that's what inspired LEGO when they made 8465 I think - I once saw some racing on Discovery and one of the cars have a LEGO-logo painted on the roof).   Re: New Parts

(...) Oh, these new sets also have a nice new tire (unfortunately only one per set) in them. It says 36.8x14 ZR on the side. They have the rubber permanently attached, and are 3 2/3 bricks tall. -- David Schilling (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.modelteam)

  Re: New Parts

(...) One new part that I'm happy to finally see is a 7-long axle! There's a light gray one in <set:8355>, and perhaps some of the other new racers as well. -- David Schilling (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.modelteam)

  Re: BIGFOOT-II

(...) I have none of those sets so I hope I have the majority of the parts needed as is. 8465 and 8466 is found on sale here in Sweden but 8458 might be of $$ concern. As soon as the folder is public again I'll see. (...) Great, thanks! However I (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic)

Lime Green fire tricks were big in the 70's. Sometime back in the late 60's early 70's someone did a study and came to the conclusion that people see the Lime Green colors better in traffic. As a consequence, ALOT of city's painted their trucks (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic)

I liked the "Technic Connector Toggle Joint Smooth, Part #44 ". As for the escapement wheel, "bah!" :P (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.modelteam)

Re: lego produces what looks like a escapement wheel

Can't say as I have extreme problems looking at the huge pictures. Not everyone has DSL ya know. :P Me, I vote for more Standard technic parts rather than more Special ones. (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: BIGFOOT-II

I'm not to happy about the bodypanels myself, even if I have 2x 8466, 8461 and 8458 set, all with lots of those panels. I think I just have to learn to build with them. They perform good designimprovment when used correctly, like mr Andrea Grazi has (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic)

Mata Nui - the on-line game

Dear fellow AFOLs I have a quite unhappy 5 yo who's still quite keen on the on-line mata nui game. He's stuck! I remember seeing a walk-through some place on the net, but all links to the place is dead. Does anybody happen to have a copy of the (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  New Parts

Rather than update the old "Part Of The Week" feature every week, I've decided to periodically update a list of new parts. I've put this on the old PotW page: (URL) you've seen any new parts that should be included, please let me know! thanks, TJ (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.modelteam)

Thanks Tobbe thanks, i'm very proud that you want to reconstruct my Bigfoot-II! In order to construct it you must at least have: N°2 8466 N°2 8465 N°1 8458 and also many connectors! However from tomorrow you will find the partlist, I have upload the (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic)

Thanks Thomas thanks, you are always much kind! I amuse myself with the thecnic body panels, but it must construct only models of wide scale! Ciao Andrea P.S. Now what I construct?! (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: TECHNIC IS NOT DEAD!!!

I am happy to see both sets. I agree that the backhoe is the better of the two, but I will plan on getting at least one of each. Every set I have put together has taught me something; I am sure the fire truck (however futuristic? they made it look) (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.technic)
