  Technic axel pins with friction.

¿Does anyone know what other sets, besides Bionicle Borok Va, contain the black technic axle pins with friction? I can't find them as a recognised Peeron part, and they seem to only be availible in small quantities on Bricklink. I like using them (...) (22 years ago, 2-Oct-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8460/8431 Changes

(...) <snip> (...) I guess the Technic Handle is discontinued. As for the <part:4274 Technic Pin 1/2> -> <part:32002 Technic Pin 3/4> substitution, as you can see: (URL) only used the 1/2 pin in that context because of the lack of something like the (...)   Re: 8475 motors

I have a couple thoughts about this. I think someone said they tried to put a single motor into the 8466, using the gearbox, and that didn't work. Someone else put the 8475 motors (2 motors) into the same model with success. Two motors are better (...) (22 years ago, 2-Oct-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Proof

(...) Insert mild remonstration about potty mouth here. The brickshelf page is funny but the post comes off mighty prickly. I won't even get into the various uses for brown round 1x1 BRICKS. Maybe you will find your proof is in the eating of your (...) (22 years ago, 2-Oct-02, to lugnet.technic)

  8475 motors

i'm confused. I have read that if you were to gear the 8475 motor down to the same speed as the mindstorm motors, they are LESS powerful. I have also saw somone motorise the 8466 without any gearing down using the 8475 motors, successfully. Now if (...) (22 years ago, 2-Oct-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: #8868 is amazing

(...) 8868 is the set I most kicked myself for not getting when it was out - my dark ages were partly brought about because I was no longer able to ask for Lego as presents and I was at University with no money. Just as I left 8880 came out which I (...) (22 years ago, 2-Oct-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: 4 wheel drive with steering

(...) Tes, but the 8880 is hardly available right now. If you use the setup from 8880, you're stuck with using one kind of wheels exclusively. The suspension arms also take up more space than with the 8466 solution. Fredrik (22 years ago, 2-Oct-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: #8868 is amazing

This one ranks as my all-time favorite technic set. Everything is just about perfect here; functionality, piece selection (both specialized and generic), looks, originality (for its time), alternate model, etc. You don't see that everywhere. ;) As (...) (22 years ago, 2-Oct-02, to lugnet.technic)

  #8868 is amazing

This is probably old hat to everyone who has played with 8868, but I'll ramble on anyway... I had never seen set #8868 before until the recent Technic set poll placed it among other favorites of mine such as 8480 and 8880. The cover picture looked a (...)   Re: 8460/8431 Changes

I received 8431 today and have done a brief comparisson between its instructions and those from 8460. Overall I think the sets are nearly identical, except for some part substitutions that Lego made due to the fact that some of the 8460 parts aren't (...) (22 years ago, 2-Oct-02, to lugnet.technic)
