Re: My latest LEGO room in order

(...) James- Nice job. It looks like a fun and comfortable place to "work". We haven't had our LEGO space that orderly for 10 years. But: You do have room for more LEGO in the room! Check out all that unused space between the ceiling joists. -Ted (18 years ago, 25-Apr-07, to lugnet.storage, FTX)

After moving into my new house almost a year ago I finally got my LEGO room in order. Its a 10x20 room in my basement, and yes I have to share it with a HVAC unit & water heater but I take the space where I can find it. It does give me plenty of (...)   Moved back home and LSF Search

Hi all, My move to North Carolina last year was short lived. 18 months later I am back in Detroit where I belong and back at my previous employer. Things in North Carolina did not go as planned. The friend I went to help has worsening health (...) (18 years ago, 29-Aug-06, to lugnet.storage)

Perfect sort of pieces for vacation

Hi, I have lot of legos pieces (almost technic - about 10.000 items) an I have a major problem. When I am at home, it´s ok i have all my legos near me, but when I go travel for a weekend, for instance, obviosly I can´t take it all with me. So the (...) (18 years ago, 5-Aug-06, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Tape

(...) Anna, I neglected to offer this solution at first, because any "liquid" cleaner could potentially ruin your box, but since you have gone the acetone route, which is fairly harsh, even when trying to be slow and careful... I would instead (...) (18 years ago, 28-Jul-06, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Tape

(...) Thanks for the tip - unfortunately the box is bigger than my freezer! at the moment i am trying to remove it using acetone (nail varnish remover). It is working but is very slow as i don't want it to soak into the box so i'm being very (...) (18 years ago, 28-Jul-06, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Tape

(...) Freezing it may make it loose its stickiness, but you would have to keep the cardboard dry to stop it getting soggy when its defrosted. Danny (18 years ago, 26-Jul-06, to lugnet.storage)

  Tape

Hi there I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice on how to safely remove masking tape and packing tape from old lego boxes? I seem able to remove the tape without tearing but am left with a layer of extreamly sticky stuff - anyone got any (...) (18 years ago, 26-Jul-06, to lugnet.storage)

  Lego domain photo documentation

So this weekend I went through a flurry of cleaning in my Lego domain, the result of which is that it's finally clean enough to show. I've been meaning for a while to document the extent of my sorting system, so people can see how a collection of (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.storage, FTX)

Re: Do You Sort on Vacation?

Doh! I wish you would have told me then! Odds are they just pitched the tubs, and I could have packed at least some of them in my car. The new tubs suck, as the lids don't clip on very securely, and the studs sticking up take up a bit too much space (...) (19 years ago, 20-Apr-06, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people, lugnet.storage)

Re: Do You Sort on Vacation?

(...) <sigh> I remember when the GMLTC displayed at the Kidvention in LLC way back in '99. I bought 40 tubs from the BIG store. Gave the tubs to some MCs [1] and packed the rest into a rather large box-- thanks to the light-traveling Abner Finley (...)
