Storage / Display case for the 10152

I would really like to keep my 10152 built and have it on dispaly in my Lego room but am having trouble finding a display case for it. I really do not want to just have it out for it to get dusty - I rather have a case to put it in, The case does (...) (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.storage)

What's the difference between the Plano 3700 and 3770?

The subject pretty much says it all. My local Wal-mart carries the 3770 for around $4.50, and a Sportsman's Warehouse in the next town has the 3700's for $3.29. What are the differences, and is it worth it driving a half-hour each way for the extra (...) (20 years ago, 27-May-04, to lugnet.storage)

Re: Summer Goal: Complete Sort & Storage

My girlfriend and I just finished sorting our collection (somewhere between 30,000 and 40,000 bits) about a month ago. We sorted by color first, then by part. I think this helped us feel like we were making some progress. It also helped to determine (...) (20 years ago, 27-May-04, to lugnet.storage)

Re: Summer Goal: Complete Sort & Storage

(...) Hi Jeff, I did my first sort about a year ago, of roughly 30,000 pieces. I tried a few different things, and here's what got me through it: - get about 20 shoeboxes, bags, or other types of containers together. You will use these as temporary (...)   Summer Goal: Complete Sort & Storage

This summer, I have resolved to completely sort and organize my collection. I tried this once before, a few years ago, but lack of money to purchase organizing bins (plus, a total lack of room in my studio apartment to set up said bins) nixed that (...)   Re: Warped baseplates: can they be restored to flatness?

This may be a long shot- but you could try steaming them and then applying gentle pressure. Abs does allow for some moulding. Beware as you do not want to steam it too long-if you warp the studs the peice will be useless. You could build a decent (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.storage)

Re: Warped baseplates: can they be restored to flatness?

(...) They were stacked flat at one time, but must've slid somewhere along the 18 or so years they'd been packed away. Only two of the baseplates were damaged, but it's pretty severe (I can slide a plate under the bow in the worst of them). It's not (...) (21 years ago, 24-May-04, to lugnet.storage)

Re: Warped baseplates: can they be restored to flatness?

(...) Build heavy models on top of them. Ha, ha. I'm afraid I can't think of anything else. How did they get warped? Were they not stacked flat? -Teddy (21 years ago, 24-May-04, to lugnet.storage)
