Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB)

(...) right. (...) Huh? Every scene in ESB and ROTJ has the visors as Trans-red. The 50 US$ helment for sale at Halloween has a trans-red visor. I just looked it up the the Star Wars: Behind the Magic CD-Rom and all the pics show trans-red visors. (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB)

(...) There are no Imperial Guards in ESB. (...) It might appear that way, but they aren't. (...) He said it above, at the Magic of Myth exhibit. I have seen it twice, at the "Art of Star Wars" exhibit at the Yerba Buena Gardens Museum in San (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB)

(...) This debate can be finished once and for all if someone will cooperate. The Myth and the Magic exhibit will be at the Chicago Field Museum 'til the beginning of next year. I'm planning on going just not real soon. I have the Lucasfilm (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB)

I just looked at Starwars.com, and they show a red visor, or at least, the shadowed face of the guard appears as if the visor were red. (URL) looks better, IMHO, but there could be more than one visor color. Maybe it's a smoky red color so it (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB)

(...) The "visors" are black in ROTJ... as for ESB, the Royal Guards aren't in the original, they might be in SE, I dunno 'cause I haven't watched it much. I saw one of the actual costumes used in the filming, not a replica, it was at the Magic of (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB)

(...) I think what you are seeing there is red reflections in the visor. Those aren't facial features, I think. It may be black with a trans-red coating, in which case it would look black but occasionally reflect red. I've seen some motorcycle (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB)

(...) The (...) No that was my fault, for some reason I was thinking 'greet the emperor' scene was in ESB. Um... Narf. (...) That is really weird cause after fast forwarding to the scence and looking at the stills from the Behind the Magic CD-ROM it (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB)

(...) Happens to the best of us my friend... :) (...) Well, as Mark already said the official site shows the visors as trans-red as well... I think we're probably both right, that it's just a very dark red and my eyes aren't as good as yours so it (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB)

*sniffle* Once again, the Northwest gets ignored on the list of places for tours to visit. :^( I really want to see this thing. ~Mark (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB)

(...) You might be surprised. Putting the "UFO" alien helmet on a trans-orange head produces a very dark eyesocket. The visor slit for the Imperial Guard would probably be about the same size. If they actually made it trans-red, it would come out (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB)

(...) Just for my own curiosity, what color are the visors of the blue helmets on the procession accompanying Palpatine onto Naboo at the end of EP1? The entourage seems to prefigure the Royal Guards pretty directly, or am I incorrect? (...) Was the (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB)

(...) You're right about this, but you have to remember that the UFO helmets put some distance between the head and the slits... this allows for shadowing. The Imperial Guard's helmet will be more like the ninja masks, which have the slits right (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB)

(...) Actually, there are no visors. The helmets are "open face." You are correct though, the blue guards are a foreshadow to the Imperial Guards. (...) Yes, it was. In fact, if you step outside you can probably see it... it's visible from most of (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)
