Destroyer Droid - Help w/ unrolling —Zak Arntson
I just found a Destroyer Droid at Target (Lynnwood, WA, USA) for anyone interested. They had a few Slave I's and Pit Droids too. It's strange, I'd think Boba Fett would sell the fastest, but the ones I haven't found are the A & B Wing and Desert (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Droid), (...) I bought my destroyer droid and have had some problems too. First the guns wouldn't flip down. I added another rubber band to each side and solved that problem. Sometimes the head wouldn't flip up either but now it does, too (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Destroyer Droid - Help w/ unrolling —Jason Fabisch
(...) I posted a fix earlier. If the grey pin pops out even a little, the head will have trouble. The grey pin passes through a technic element that is always attached to the head. Wrap a small rubber band around this part. Now, there is also a (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Destroyer Droid - Help w/ unrolling —Michael Jorgensen
I'm having trouble with the rear leg mechanism too. I reduced the number of elastics to 3. This seemd to make the latching and unlatching operations easier when tripping it manually (i.e. by hand, not rolling it). With 4 bands I could trip the rear (...)          Re: Destroyer Droid - Help w/ unrolling —Chris Lannan
Boy oh boy, I had troubles with this as well. The head/rubberband fix had helped with the head. For the back leg, I couldn't get it to snap open no matter how hard the front legs struck. When I reduced rubberbands it would open but not have enough (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Correct me if I am wrong. Alot of the areas where people are having problems with the legs unfolding, are held together with the L shaped flat technic pieces. I found the flash on mine to be sticking out too far to allow a pair of these to sit flush (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Help for hard to find sets —Andrew Burt
I'm a new AFOL to lugnet. I've been noticing the high prices that some people are paying on auctions for brand new Star Wars sets. Are there a lot of areas where the sets are in short supply? The local Wal-Mart & Zellers stores have a lot of Lego. (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Help for hard to find sets —Eric Kingsley
(...) a (...) Andrew, Welcome to LUGNET. It really is confusing as to why people will bid so much on a set that you can just go out a get for less. I don't think you are going to find any of those people here on LUGNET though. For the most part we (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Help for hard to find sets —Larry Pieniazek
Welcome Andrew! (...) Which is why all my auction listings give the source, and further, credit Lugnet and suggest that people learn to use it. If all of the folks who frequent this newsgroup and sold stuff on eBay did the same it would cut into the (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Help for hard to find sets —Scott Arthur
(...) Time and time again I place FS postings on both LUGNet and RTL and get zero responses. I'll then put the same item on EBAY, only to have a LUGNet/RTL regular buy +20% over my FS price. MAD! In the UK we have a phase : "You can take a horse to (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Help for hard to find sets —Frank Filz
(...) Some of that is people who don't read the marketplace newsgroups. Another part may be people who figure that anything that's posted in FS is gone by the time they get there (this is a bad assumption to make, about the first deal I participated (...)         Re: Help for hard to find sets —Cory Gallaher
I recently found a great buy on Yahoo, all 13 1999 star wars sets for 219 bucks plus 15 for 2 day shipping, about a 100 bucks off of retail. "Frank Filz" <ffilz@mindspring.com> wrote in message (...) zero (...) regular (...) Some of that is people (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.market.theory)
