  Slave-I factoids!

Well, it appears the new stuff is popping up everywhere now. The usual selection of 2000 sets mentioned in prior postings has appeared in CT (near Enfield, no surprise there) at Wal-Mart stores. I was told by my wife that I was only allowed to buy (...) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) Thanks for the inventory. Question: Do we have the same wife? (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) As mentioned elsewhere, 6195 has this piece; since I have one but it is unopened, yet I still have several loose 1x1 trans-neon-orange headlight pieces, there must also be another set (the Crystal Crawler?) that had them. (...) Didn't one of (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) I've got BOATLOADS of this piece. It was very prevalent in Ice Planet, Aquazone, and RoboForce. (...) One of the UFO 'figs had black hands. I think one of the one's from the large saucer with the vehicle in the middle. (...) be (...) mini-fig (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) I can't beleive no one else pointed this out, but: The Speeder Bike Pilots don't have black minifig heads. They have yellow minifig heads with a black "visor" over the place where their eyes would be, which shows through the helmet. Boba Fett (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) 5986 Amazon Ancient Ruins has four of 'em also. Jeff (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) The choice of a 1x2x5 for the Carbonite Han affects the entire model. In the LEGO model, the regular 'entrance ramp' for Slave-1 is designed to accept the carbonite block. I believe this ends up being more like a locker in the model. Anyway, (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) Check 6195 and you will find that that set has this piece as well. -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) I'm going to don my asbestos armor here and say that I *like* the way they did Han in carbonite. It feels very... lego-correct, whereas a complicated molded piece would be... clunky. I dunno. I still haven't seen the set (augh!) so I'll shut (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) <Snipped muchly> I don't precisely like it as is, but I'm fairly certain I would get positively *sick* of it the other way (as a molded sarcaphogus type piece). I mean, as is, I can at least us it as a brick - the other way, it's never going (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) How insulting! (...) Actually, the paint could wear off. Then you'd be fresh out of a Han Solo carbonyte piece, or a stupid-looking one, at that. Mike (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) I feel good. And, I knew that I would! Mike (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) Well, space helmets have to be removed before you can turn your astronauts' heads, which in the vacuum of space isn't very practical, either! 8^) Dave! (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) having it be a brick will make it easier to make a carbon freezing chamber- it will fit into a slot better. I'm playing with some ideas- Han goes down, turn it around and up pops frozen Han. Any other ideas on how to do this? Chris (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) Yow. Where did I see the black head? Was it Darth? Was I just hallucinating the whole thing? Come to think of it, a black mini-fig head would be perfect for Darth, given the vocal talent that personified him... Dave xxx...xxx (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

Slave 1 has got to be the best Star Wars model yet. Right from putting the first pieces together, building it up, all those lovely slopes, the double hinged cockpit and the gravity levelled wings, this model is the BOMB. Definetly my fav. GO get one (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) Nope, Darth has a grey head with a face printed on it. Mike (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

Yeah, and anyone wanting to get rid of their Speeder Biek Pilot heads, I'll trade ;-) I like the larger "sunglasses" on them. (...) -- Tom Stangl ***(URL) Visual FAQ home ***(URL) Bay Area DSMs (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

There's three black heads in the Sith Infiltrator set. They're one piece of the two-piece probe droids. So buy a Sith Infiltrator and you get THREE Boba Fett heads!! -Zak (...) hallucinating (...) (25 years ago, 18-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Slave-I factoids!

(...) This sounds similar to the Bespin Carbon Freezing Chamber playset from the Kenner Star Wars Micro Collection. You can see a picture of it here. (URL) lowering and turning a knob on top, you could "freeze" han and lift him up again. This was (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)
