  MF Challenge!

Okay, I was thinking.... with all the talk regarding the MF, and the cockpit, why not have a little contest. Everyone break out your graph paper.... okay LDraw, whatever you want to use, and let's see if anyone can work out a cockpit that can fit 2 (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: MF Challenge!

(...) O.K. Problem solved, maybe! If there is enough head room. Does the Landspeeder ring a bell. This is assuming that the cockpit has 2 studs on the bottom! 1) put a 2x4 or 2x6 plate on the bottom 2) on top of that put a 4x4 or 4x6 plate 3) now (...) You need something that has the arms be INSIDE the thin walls of the panels. To see something that will work, do a search (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars)

<snip> (...) If I were a betting man (and I am not) I would bet NO. Mostly because they rest of the ship seems so stripped down that I can't imagine a cannon on the underside. Especially because it would probably interfere with the large, clunky, (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: MF Challenge!

(...) If you mean a matching one on the bottom I'd say probably not. I do think the landspeeder fix could work. It DOES look like the side bricks are NOT thin walls, but what about getting the 'fig up high enough so that his arms rest on top of (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars)

My only other concern with the cockpit piece is where the bottom studs are located. If they placed them along the bottom, like (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: MF Challenge!

(...) Well I just tried the Landspeeder fix and it does work! I took the off the 4x6 tan plates with windshield on it, the red 1x2 thin wall pieces! Slapped a 1x4x3 thin wall piece on where the red pieces go, put the seat back in, put the minifig in (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Two minifigs side-by-side in 6 studs (was: MF Challenge!)

I'm still not LDraw-equipped because I surf from work on a Mac, so please bear with my verbal description. Begin in a 6-wide (...) (25 years ago, 23-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)
