Thoughts on SW Minifigs —Steve Bliss
OK, the first wave of sets features the following minifigs: 3 versions of Luke Skywalker Obi-wan Kenobi R2-D2 R2-something else (apparently) Darth Vader Speeder Bike Troopers (what are they called?) Rebel Tech from Yavin base (with the Castle face) (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on SW Minifigs —Alan Shutko
(...) I see one in the X wing, and one in the Speeder bike set. Ah! One in the landspeeder. (...) Color-scheme was kind of like R5-D4, but I think it was just a random R2 unit. (...) Do you think there will be a SW: Special Edition novel? With new, (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on SW Minifigs —Selçuk Göre
(...) Four, I think. In 1999 s@h catalog, it is stated that, the pilots of both x-wing and snowspeeder (with the allience pilot "Dack", yes snow speeder has a two-seat cabin) are Lukes (what is the plural of "Luke"..:-P). There are also appeerantly (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on SW Minifigs —Tom McDonald
(...) are only two (...) I doubt any of the actors have that kind of control with Lucas. The big factor is discerning which character it is, not which actor. General character appearance attributes, which is all that we're dealing with here, such as (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on SW Minifigs —Terry Keller
(...) I've got this down to a science. My monitor is below the desktop, so I'm looking through a glass pane. And the keyboard slides under the desktop on its drawer. So I am able to rapidly push the keyboard away and not even be worried about it or (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jan-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Thoughts on SW Minifigs —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Bah-dumpb-dumbp!! (...) Seems to be a major outbreak of "Literality" on this system lately. Is it contagious? Is literality a word? Does anyone care? Why am I posting this instead of getting back on the road and departing lovely Walnut IA (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jan-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Thoughts on SW Minifigs —Terry Keller
(...) Perhaps the actors do have some rights concerning their likeness. But that is a moot point. Lucas holds the rights to the characters themselves, and any Lego representation is not going to actually _look_ like the actor. Like TLG would do (...)         Re: Thoughts on SW Minifigs —Chad Smith
Steve Bliss writes: <other SW minifigs snipped> (...) It's hard to tell from the catalog photo, but in the minifig close-up on AGONN's site the Hoth trooper's head looks like it's recycled from Aquazone. I think it's the young "skater dude" from the (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-99, to lugnet.starwars)
