Re: is anyone else finding... —Steve Bliss
(...) These days, I will sort and build simultaneously. As I'm looking for a piece, I will sort out a few other pieces I notice, until I find the piece I'm looking for. Then I'll build some more, until I get stuck on another piece. Then I'll (...) (25 years ago, 10-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

(...) Ahh -- I'll try that next time. :) (...) It was more than just a rumor, actually. I'd call it an "account" from a reliable source. There is also rampant speculation on the subject too, of course, since the results of it are so clear. It's *so* (...) (25 years ago, 10-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

(...) subject (...) wonderful (...) The hinge bricks are a bit large and the rear landing gear on the X-wing sucks, but the rest of the pieces make up for it.        (...) I just got the Droid Fighter, Naboo Fighter, Sith Infiltrator, Anakin's Pod, and the Mos Espa Podrace. I built them in that order. Reactions: D.F.: Cool little set.. got it mainly for pieces. Not really impressed with the modeling of the (...) (25 years ago, 10-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

Re: is anyone else finding... —Steve Bliss
(...) Really? Considering what they do, they are a decent size. I don't think that plate-based hinges could deliver the 'clicking' function of these hinges. And they need to have (at least) a 1x2 footprint for stability. A 1x1 would wiggle around (...) (25 years ago, 11-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

Re: is anyone else finding... —Bram Lambrecht
(...) Good arguments, but I think they could have been two instead of three plates high. The worst one though, is the hinge used for the X-wing canopy. It could have been a plate, which would make it easier to place things behind the pilot. Don't (...) (25 years ago, 12-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

Re: is anyone else finding... —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) Anakin's Pod Racer has these ratcheting hinges in a plate. It's what's holding up those long yellow vanes on the top and sides of the thrusters. Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 12-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

Re: is anyone else finding... —Gintaras Rumsas
(...) Funny but this is the way I usually build too. I like very much to open all packs from the set (specially if it is a large set), get out all parts into one big heap and start building. I "hunt" for every piece at the very begining, later it (...) (25 years ago, 11-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)
