May I humbly suggest just letting the whole thing drop? it all looks like a misunderstanding at many levels and digging deeper into who said what and why is not likely to be a good thing.

Failing that, maybe taking it to email might be a good approach.

Hi, Larry.

If it is alright with you, I would like to wait until I get a response here back from Kevin in this thread. While I agree that this entire thread would have been better resolved via email communication, the fact that Kevin chose to make his comment in a public forum, where everyone could read it, makes it important (to me, at least) that he explain exactly what it means, in public, where everyone can read it. I believe I have a legitimate reason for posing the questions I have to him, and I also deserve to get an answer back from him, in a way that will clear things up in the open. Frankly, I’m a little tired of seeing people post random, uncalled-for posts, only to have the matter squashed whenever someone calls them on it. The person who made the post gets to have his say, without ever taking responsibility for himself or his words by stepping up to the plate and honestly and intelligently explaining himself. If people are going to make posts, they should expect that other people are going to respond. My response was valid, and I would like to see what comes of it, if anything.
