Re: My guesses again for 2001 sets.

I think that a sandcrawler is a definate. I remember seeing a photograph of a prototype design in the UK lego Fan Club magazine in late 1998. It had loads of tan / brown blocks and, of course, tracks. It was labelled "The Designers Favourite (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: My guesses again for 2001 sets.

I think you're right on the money. I fear that they wont release a sandcrawler because it would have to be so scaled down. But the play value inherent in the assortment of droids necessarily included seems dead-on for a lego product. Likewise while (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Dude, You rock! I was wondering when someone would do this ship in Lego. Very cool. Now I just need you to do the LDraw instructions. No rush, take your time... :) James Wilson (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  UCS X-Wing Review

O mighty X-Wing! Prince of Lego sets!...I have just been reveling in one of the greatest building privileges and experiences of my life...the UCS X- Wing...greater and more satisfying than both the Whirl and Wheel Super Truck and the Snowspeeder (1) (...)   My guesses again for 2001 sets.

Last I counted, there were 14 SW related sets released for the 99 model year. This included about equal numbers Episode 1 and original trilogy. Then for the 2000 model year they have scheduled to released 15 sets(includes technic droids, and (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Episode 1 sets for 2001

(...) They sound like good sets aaron, but I am afraid they will never happen. The problem is way to many mini figures. We can always dream though. Gerry (24 years ago, 23-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 1 problem with click-hinges

Re: Episode 1 sets for 2001

(...) Let's assume that they make five to six new E1 sets for release in 2001. Here's my list: (1) How about a Gian Speeder with Panaka and a few (2-3) Royal Security figures? (2) Famba with Shield Generator and Catapult and a few (4-6) Gungan (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Episode 1 sets for 2001

(...) You're right, though I think it's because of the exterior limitations more than the interior. The Queen's ship has way too many curves to be rendered without great expense. Mr. Kuester Brilliant work (as always)--dig the white trim and the constuction of the circular sections. I'll be interested in seeing more of your EP 1 interpretations. Keep up the "time eating". Henry (24 years ago, 22-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Episode 1 sets for 2001

(...) I dont't think we'll see the ship at all...there's not much LEGO could build into it--a throne room and a cockpit? I doubt they would add droid chambers--too much effort needed to make it cool. (...) ROFL! --Bram Bram (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  My thoughts on new sets

My thoughts on star wars sets are a little less grandiose and I hope more realistic. I think a naboo cruiser is out of the question because i dont see lego investing in a whole line of chrome parts and gray bricks just wouldn't be acceptable for the (...)   Re: Episode 1 sets for 2001

(...) Actually, the more I think about it the more I think it will be made out of a silver version of the color C3PO was cast in. It just makes sense. While this wouldn't be nearly as cool as chrome, it would certainly be better than the light grey. (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)
