Re: Star Wars LEGO Design Contest II

I like this idea! There are some really cool models done before the official sets came out. Color accuracy no counting. Pat J (...) (24 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update!

Hi Mark, I must say that I really appreciate your attention to detail. The Mithrandir is an excellent model. I think it is cool the way that you posed all the mini-figs going through the motions of their duties. One question - What set offers the (...)   Re: Star Wars LEGO Design Contest II

(...) I have a suggestion - best Pre-Official Star Wars Lego Model. This would be for all models built from elements from sets which pre-date the official Star Wars Lego models. That means: no smoked canopies; no wide wings; no large disc bricks; no (...) (24 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Why can't we have a Lando: Lego's Race policy

(...) But that makes them absolutly NO DIFFERENT as a mini-fig. If mini-Han and mini-Luke had tan heads then it would make sense for mini-Lando to have a brown head. However they are not based on the actors. Mini-Luke and mini-Han have yellow heads (...) (24 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Star Wars LEGO Design Contest II

(...) I disagree. This would result in too many categories, or be restrictive on entries - you'd have to have the right sets to enter. Instead, the judge should consider the difficulty, detail and ingenuity in making the alternative, whichever set (...) (...) I *know* they're characters. Here's my point. Tell me the name of the guy who is portrayed by the Indian Cheif. The actual guy. There isn't one! It's just a generic figure. Now, I can tell you the names of the guys who are portrayed by the (...) (24 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Where are these survey answers coming from? (was: New Survey up for LEGO)

(...) I just wanted to second Todd's thoughts here. The main reason I have not participated in the survey is that it seems "fishy" to me. It seems to me if LEGO wanted an "Offical Survey" they would do it themselves not through a supposidly (...) (24 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: New Survey up for LEGO

(...) Out of curiosity, where are you getting your numbers from? According to the SW site, the falcon is 27 meters long, which translates into about 88.5 feet, which should be 620mm long as a minifig scale model (1 minifig foot ~ 7mm, given that a (...)   Where are these survey answers coming from? (was: New Survey up for LEGO)

(...) Tim, I think it's totally great that "LEGO" (whatever that means) is soliciting feedback about SW:UCS sets!, but I'm still suspicious that this is an unofficial channel. If it is, then not only would it be misleading to say "LEGO wants to (...) (24 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: New Survey up for LEGO

(...) Making the Death Star as a UCS set wouldn't make sense. In order to make it large enough to see sufficient detail to justify the UCS status, it would have to be huge.   Re: Princess Leia up close and personal
