  Re: 7130 Snowspeeder....

(...) Sifting through old .starwars posts, found this: (URL) the one you talking about? Some of those are pretty clever... I still remember putting together my 7130. It was my favourite Starwars set until I got a 7140 X-wing a couple months later (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 7130 Snowspeeder....

(...) That's funny, my six year old cried before Christmas because it seems Santa forgot to bring him a Snowspeeder the Christmas before that. (Santa didn't see it on sale anywhere and figured another SW set would do. Wrong!) Of course it was (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 7130 What's the Deal?

(...) I suspect it was particularly popular with people buying LEGO for kids. It was effectively a cheap substitute for the relatively expensive X Wing set, but still contained Luke, a lightsabre, other figs, a cool 'ship' etc. A couple of times (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 7130 What's the Deal?

(...) It truly is, without exception, the best medium size set in the SW line. It's very movie-accurate with the exception of the pilots not sitting directly back-to-back like in ESB, but TLC still manages to make it look great. There is the second (...)   Re: 7130 What's the Deal?

(...) I have a 7130, and it's among one of the few sets I've kept in one piece. Perhaps it's just the notion that it's star wars, and it has an excellent design, that I kept the original model still built in the box. I still proudly display it on my (...)   Re: 7130 What's the Deal?

(...) For me, it's simple. It *looks* like what it's supposed to look like. The design and coloring are excellent. The use of traditional parts and specialty parts is well balanced. Oh, and did I mention that it *looks* like a snowspeeder? :) Nice (...) (22 years ago, 22-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)
