Re: Ewok Holocaust / Jedi Death

(...) LOL! (...) (Warning: opinionated rant to follow): Yes and no...in retrospect, the Obi-Wan disappearance was a little bit corny, but, it was filmed in 1976, so it's kind of excusable (they could only do so much with technology.) This was, (...) (24 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

New MTT and ATT MOC's by Brian Stokes

Hi Guys, Brian Stokes is one of our local Los Angeles LEGO fanatics, but he hasn't yet activated his LUGNET account (its in the mail!) We took some pics yesterday of his MASSIVE MTT and modified ATT. You can check them out here: (URL) (24 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Ewok Holocaust

(...) Ooh, you got me going there. Lucas had a story, which he shared with Leigh Brackett over several days in late 1977. Brackett turned in a script on February 23, 1977, and succumbed to cancer shortly thereafter. Lucas worked up a second and a (...) (24 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Ewok Holocaust

The Earth gets hits by tons and tons of dust all the time yet it doesn't seem to bother her none :) Yep, that's right we are gaining weight all the time... of coarse the last correction of the gravitation constant knocked some 6,000,000,000,000 (...) (24 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 7166 Minifig Questions

(...) That's right. It's closer to Maul's torso, though, with the more complex pattern of folds. The belt is also higher up for some reason. (...) Just the front, I think. The folds are kinda hard to see in pictures (or even in poor light) as (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Ewok Holocaust / Jedi Death

So, I guess laying Vader to rest on a funeral pyre on Endor was redundant... Luke - "Hey, Han! Got a match?" Han - "Yeah, my butt and your face." Luke - "Naaah, I mean so's I can get rid of my old man's corpse." Han - "Just use your robot hand. It's (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 7166 Minifig Questions

(...) Ok, this is from memory 'cause I'm at work, the set's at home, and I haven't looked at the minifigs in some time, so forgive me if I'm wrong: (...) The torso is very similar, but it's different. It has a "rope" belt painted on it instead of (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Ewok Holocaust

(...) I disagree with you. Chapter I. ANH was a marvelous epic. Sure, the plot was nothing innovative - basically a new version of the classic hero/redemption plot - but it was good nonetheless. It was even Art. II. Empire came along, and it had a (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Ewok Holocaust

(...) I'd challenge you to find much SF which you couldn't find gaping holes in. Star Wars is no worse than movies in general, and perhaps better. Note that the referenced article even points out that there is nothing in the Star Wars literature (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)
