I finally built something I think is worth showing to the rest of you! Well.... once I get pictures to post the rest of you will be able to see it anyway. Just for a bit of a text preview teaser I'll tell you all that I began building it for the (...) (20 years ago, 6-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.contests)

Hi Douglas, I went on BrickShelf to check it, it's a very nice P38 you designed. It is almost studless, SNOTed (MORVEd :-))everywhere. I especially like the use of the blue 1x3x12 slope on the sides. Among the contest entries, I think this is one of (...) (20 years ago, 26-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Hi Ley, It's a clever design with some cool ideas, I particularly like the domed-cylinder-throu...the-arches thing. It seems like too radical a departure from the P-38 design to be a competitive entry, though. Is there a prize for the most (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) I'll take 'clever', 'cool', 'radical' and 'oddball', but I don't know about 'too'. In thinking of a 'space' version, I went to three dimensions and no 'right way up' so I 'squared' it.
