definitly paul, the best i've found are, in fact, cowboy bebop; i recently
saw the first 5 episodes and just ordered the entire series on 3 dvds,
w/english subtitles from ebay for about $37, and you'll probably be able to
dfind the same (w/the buy now thing)  this set is very new, i think, because
i can't find it being sold anywhere else, only the dvd sets that have like,
4 episodes on each disc which is very tedious.  very interesting ship
design, not to mention an all around wonderful anime, especially the music
;).  lets see... you might try outlaw star, i actually havn't seen any of it
but i believe it is coming to cartoon network this fall, and is similar to
cowboy bebop. (it at least sounds like it'll have interesting ship design lol)
i only recently got into anime, and most of it was EVA, which is mecha, so
maybe some other guys on here will be able to give further suggestions :)

yo homeys,
i need some help cuz i know nuthin' about anime...

Sandlin's bricriu is anime influenced,
also Kuester's recent ship (ves?),
and the many mecha out there...

i've heard about Cowboy sumthin...
and I've seen a few films, and I'm
NOT really into mecha films, but i DO
like spaceships...

so,
can anyone suggest directors or films
that I can get on DVD w/ spaceships that
are good anime?

thx much
-paul

(...) Actually, you purchased an illegal bootleg set, most likely from Hong Kong or Taiwan. No twenty-six episode series has been released on three discs here in the US, let alone in Japan. The minimum is four discs, and that is usually only in box (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.space)
